"Swiftp-paw, that wasn't a m-monster. That was a fox. Hazelpaw was a-attacked by a f-fox. Amberpaw, Hazelpaw is g-gone. We c-can't save her n-n-now. We should bring her back to c-camp. Swiftpaw, we can't g-go after it. It will b-beat us l-limp just l-like Hazelpaw." We have to get back to camp. I-Ill take her be-because I'm the o-oldest apprentice h-here. You guys c-can follow after m-me. Quickly, before it c-comes back!"
Looking into Amberpaws eyes, Blazepaw knew the sorrow she felt, but it would have to be put aside. Putting Hazelpaws limp, bloody body onto her back, she tried her best to ignore the stench of blood on her bright orange pelt. Flicking an ear for the others to follow, she walked slowly but trying to get back to camp as quick as she could. | Duneclaw followed the others. He didn't really know Hazelpaw, but that didn't stop him from feeling sorrow for his dead Clanmate.
