Just A Patrol [[Open]]

Sandybreeze padded over to where her apprentice was and nudged Twistedpaw. "Hey, we're going on a patrol." She meowed, smiling before making her way to the camps entrance to wait for others to join them.

Brindlepaw's ears perked as she watched Sandybreeze collect Twistedpaw under the pretense of a patrol, and she hurriedly rose to her paws from where she had been previously dozing in the weak sun. Stretching out each leg to ease the stiffness from her muscles, Brindlepaw shook out her fur before padding over to Sandybreeze. "Mind if I joined?" She questioned the older she-cat, her eyes bright at the prospect of leaving camp. The constant cold, snowy weather had left her trapped in camp the past few days, and the need for a run was driving her half mad.

Falconstone followed behind his mate, sitting quietly next to her.

Sitting up and hastily grooming herself, Twistedpaw looked excitedly at her mentor, mewing, "Where are we going? Is it a hunting patrol or a border patrol?"

"Twistedpaw, I swear you're the only apprentice who'd still look so thrilled to be a part of just a regular border patrol!" Brindlepaw warmly teased the other she-cat, flicking her tail impatiently. After watching Twistedpaw quickly groom her fur, she quickly gave her own pelt a few brisk laps- it was out of place after her previous dozing in the weak sunlight. "It might be a bit cold for hunting." Brindlepaw mewed in response to Twistedpaw's question, her words half-muddled due to the fact that she continued her brisk cleaning of her pelt while speaking.

"It is better than doing nothing, plus we are helping our Clan and getting closer to being warriors this way," Twistedpaw pointed out, shaking out her crooked tail.

ic: Sandybreeze smiled as others quickly joined them, including her mate, and she nodded. "Of course. This should be enough for a border patrol." She meowed simply, casting a cheerful glance at Falconstone, before making her way out of camp and onto the moor.
