Tigerpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Crowstar jumped up onto the Tall Branch and called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather here for a clan meeting!"

Tigerpaw raced up, his pelt nearly glowing from the multiple times he'd washed it.
His yellow eyes were bright with interest as he sat down happily. Finally his training was over, and he was getting his warrior name at the same time as his siblings, even if he had been apprenticed later. His fur puffed out with pride as the tom, looking eerily like a cat from Tigerclan, gazed up at Crowstar, awaiting his next words.

"The time has come for an apprentice to gain the rank of warrior. Tigerpaw please come forward." Crowstar said.

Tigerpaw trotted forward, trying to appear distinguished but barely containing a grin.

"I, Crowstar, Leader of Skyclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn. Tigerpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Crowstar asked

Leafpaw hurriedly rushed into camp and sat down near the front. I'm late again!he thought angry at himself he held his gaze up at Crowstar.

Sunblaze watched as Leafpaw rushed into camp. "You're late again!" she hissed quietly in his ear. "Hey it's not my fault!" he hissed back. "Shush!" she replied. "Be quiet." And they both listened to her words and gazed up at Crowstar.

"I do," Tigerpaw recited loyally.

His ear flicked in greeting as Leafpaw hurried in beside Sunblaze. His white tail-tip twitched with amusement, but he kept his gaze on Crowstar, managing to not break out into laughter.

"Then by the powers of Starclan, I grant you your warrior name. Tigerpaw, from now on you will be known as Tigerblaze, for your strength and courage. We welcome you as a full warrior of Skyclan," Crowstar jumped down to greet his new warrior.

"TIGERBLAZE!, TIGERBLAZE, TIGERBLAZE!" Sunblaze and Leafpaw screamed as loud as they could. "Good job! You got the same suffix as me!" Sunblaze praised. "Can you teach me some battle moves?" Leafpaw teased.

The newly named Tigerblaze let out a purr as cats crowded around him, relishing the moment.

"Sure!" he managed to call to his brother. "Uh—just once—" he paused to shoulder his way over to Leafpaw. "Just once the vigil's over." he gave the tom a teasing nudge. 

Tigerblaze began to get swept away by the cats, and let out one last happy, exhausted grin towards his littermate and Sunblaze before following them.
