Civil Paws Unclean [semi-closed]

Halfpaw shot Mottledpaw an icy glare. Mottledpaw was just making this worse than it had to be. Insulting Clanmates was more than unwise, it was just stupid. The calico apprentice then turned her head to look at Sleetpaw, the she-cat's gaze meeting the tom's gaze. Halfpaw didn't take another step forwards, she just narrowed her amber eyes and stood her ground.
"I think it's only fair to say that Ripplepaw is the only sensible one in your group," Halfpaw began, "Blood doesn't have to be spilled where it's not needed."
With her eyes still on Sleetpaw, she slowly nodded to back up her words, and then looked over at Mottledpaw again.

"I'm sure both Blacktwig and Morningshine wouldn't want you sticking your claws in where they don't belong." Halfpaw said, in an icy tone that was uncharacteristic for a cat with a usual quiet personality like her.

Mottledpaw rolled her eyes at Halfpaw. "Well, Blacktwig and Morningshine are just mousebrains." She said. The red she-cat was usually unlike this, noble and respectful towards her father and mentor. But she was mad right now. She looked at the RiverClan cats and sneered. "Fine. I guess you are correct," she finally admitted with defeat in her eyes.

Fallowpaw looked at Halfpaw for a long time. "It isn't my fault your little friend isn't cooperating," she said. It was a petty quarrel between youngsters; Fallowpaw knew that. But obviously this Mottledpaw didn't. She glared at the ThunderClan apprentice, seeming alright with Halfpaw, yet mad at Mottledpaw. She was making it worse. Not her.

IC: Lightningpaw and Blazepaw soon joined Mottled paw and Halfpaw. The toms looked between he two she cats and then exchanged a glace.

Mottledpaw glanced at Lightingpaw and Blazepaw as the two tomcats quickly joined the group. She nodded sharply and in an unwelcoming fashion towards them, the two newly-apprenticed brothers. Why did the RiverClan patrol have to be so much older than them?

Glancing over at his brother with mischievous eyes, Sunpaw decided he'd had enough of this chitchat nonsense, who cared about the code, they were apprentices. Apprentices bickered all the time and got into scraps, that was the joy of youth. Wiggling his hindquarters, Sunpaw crouched down before pouncing on top of Halfpaw, batting the she-cat across her bat with his sheathed forepaw. He wasn't harming her, but it was certainly an insult.

"Tt." He sounded mockingly, as if to ask whether she was going to back down even from this.

Otterpaw yelped in surprise as Sunpaw pounced, but he was quick to form a defensive formation in case of retaliation.

Frogpaw snickered from where he stood next to Fallowpaw, before steeling himself to look unimpressed since Fallowpaw didn't seem too interested in a fight.

"Pitiful," A menacing voice sounded when Mottledpaw padded over to Halfpaw to jerk Sunpaw off. He had crossed the border. Fallowpaw narrowed her eyes at Mottledpaw as she glared at the apprentice. "What do you think you're doing? You're barely more than a kit." Fallowpaw sent a raking blow over Mottledpaw's muzzle. She watched as the she-cat retaliated, stepping backwards. "That should teach you, and your worthless patrol, too!" Fallowpaw hissed.

So they were kittypets after all... Pathetic! Just pathetic! They wouldn't even stand up for themselves?! A growl was building in Sleetpaw's throat when Sunpaw pounced, making his fur stand on end. The moment Mottledpaw touched him was all he needed. He bounded forward, leaping the border, rushing past Fallowpaw and bowled straight into the ThunderClan apprentice with a yowl. The rest could stay on the RiverClan side of the border if they wanted—he wasn't going to let the code hold him back here. He'd take them all at once if he had to.

"This one's mine, Fallowpaw," he hissed, leering over Mottledpaw. After all those taunts toward Shellpaw, and touching his brother, he'd take a lot of pressure raking that pretty pelt off. "There's enough to go around."

Sleetpaw used Run-and-Tackle on Mottledpaw.

"Whoever teaches her the lesson she needs to learn is good." Fallowpaw said with a nod towards Sleetpaw. The tomcat was courageous; no wonder Shellpaw loved him! Before Mottledpaw's vision went blurry, Fallowpaw glared at her. The pretty little she-cat couldn't remain so for long. Her face curved into a disgusted frown at the apprentice.

Mottledpaw fought back a stinging response. She bit her lip, stumbling backwards from the force. She looked up at Sleetpaw, growling. "Hmmph. You have less control than I thought!" She spat, lunging at Sleetpaw with fury building up inside of her.

Sleetpaw snapped back from the blow, reeling a few steps back with fiery needles of pain shooting across his skin.
"Agh... Yeah..." he breathed. He fought through the ringing in his ears with a snarling laugh, his green eyes burning with scorn, digging his claws into the earth. "Yeah. Maybe you're right." Sleetpaw thrust forward, as fluid as water, catching the apprentice upside the head with a nimble paw, slamming into her hard and quick.

Sleetpaw used Front Paw Blow on Mottledpaw.

Mottledpaw glanced up at him with sorrow and regret in her eyes, but it was fake. She collapsed onto the bank, unmoving as she was knocked out.

Fallowpaw was laughing quietly. She deserved to be beaten. She grinned wildly, and turned to Halfpaw with a crazed look in her eyes. She prowled forwards, fur prickling. She leapt at the tortoiseshell she-cat.

HALFPAW IS STUNNED FOR ONE TURN.

Ripplepaw eyed this pathetic excuse of a spout between the two sides, groaning in frustation.

"Are you all blind!?" He asked aloud, "What is to gain from this stupid fight?" He asked again, honestly Ripplepaw was just hoping for a calming patrol. But sadly that isn't going to be happening anytime soon.

Fur fluffed and looking like a mad dog, Fallowpaw turned around. The light brown feline gazed at him with disbelief, voice raising angrily. "Don't you know what they do to us?" Fallowpaw asked loudly, glancing around at the group as if it were more of an announcement. She kept stepping closer and closer to Ripplepaw, nonexistent eyebrows raised with precision. "They hate us! Why should we let those pretty little kittypets off so easy?" Her eyes blazing, she locked them with the sleek tomcat's own.

"Because you don't have to fight them if they're the ones interested provoking us! That's what cats who hate each other do, they like getting under your fur and pushing all of your buttons! If you learn to ignore them then they'll learn to leave you be!" Ripplepaw retorts, stepping closer to further his eye-to-eye contact with Fallowpaw. Hoping to get through to them.

"I understand we have fights with them over territory and other serious matters, but this is petty and trivial. What does it matter if one calls the other a kittypet?! I'm pretty sure it would be worse if someone ended up dead!" He paused to take a breath in between his stern angry spouting.

"Fighting over land as well as prey or during actual fights is serious. This isn't." He stated. Ripplepaw spoke with his heart as well as his mind when speaking such words, some may call him a coward for not fighting for his clan or showing such abundant loyalty to fight like a mad dog at every chance.

But a dead cat or crippled cat is useless to a clan during dire moments. The shouting tom had hoped his words would get through to someone, if not everyone to try and maybe .. calm this down a bit.

Shellpaw watched in admiration as Sleetpaw raked the ThunderClan kittypet to shreds. She stalked across the border to the other ThunderClan apprentice that Fallowpaw was fighting. "This'll teach you kittypets who the real warriors are in this forest," she hissed, striking the she-cat contemptuously across her muzzle, ignoring the frantically shouted words of Ripplepaw. What did the young tom know?

Fallowpaw frowned at Ripplepaw. "Telling me to calm down whilst shouting is hypocrisy!" She exclaimed. She sat back. She was just glad that the pesky Mottledpaw was silent now, that was it. Ripplepaw was making it difficult to teach these kits a lesson, but to be fair, would she waste her time fighting a true kittypet?

Fallowpaw turned around as Shellpaw struck Halfpaw. She grinned again. "Shellpaw, they've learned their lesson now. The other two are barely apprentices! If they know anything, they'll run away whining to their mothers." Fallowpaw said.
