Cherrykit's Apprentice Ceremony

Vixenheart leaped onto the Tallbranch and called out the familiar words to let the Clan know that a meeting was in place, "Let all cats old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the Tallbranch for a Clan meeting!"

Cherrykir tumbled put of the nursery, guiding herself by her weak sense of smell, since sight was gone.

Vixenheart nodded as soon as the cat whom this ceremony would be about arrived. "Cherrykit, please step forwards."

Cherrykit nosed her way towards the leader, looking towards the ground, even if the only thing she saw was blankness.

Tinylegs watched as Vixenheart called a clan meeting and a smile from overwhelmed joy shown on his muzzle. It was still somewhat hard for him to wrap his head around having kits, though in the end, he couldn't be more happy. Sitting down in the crowd of his clan mates, the short tom had trouble seeing over cat's shoulders, but like always, it didn't both him.

I wonder who her mentor will be, Tinylegs thought to himself, somewhat hoping that he'd get to mentor her. He knew that with her being blind, who ever the deputy chose to mentor her would have to be extremely patient and wondered if other warriors could handle training a blind cat. Being a somewhat newly appointed warrior, he initially thought that he would've been appointed an apprentice by now, but he never questioned Crowstar or Vixenheart's decisions.

"We gather here to make this kit an apprentice. Cherrykit, you have reached the age of six moons and you are ready to become an apprentice. From this day forward, you will be known as Cherrypaw. Your mentor will be Tinylegs." Vixenheart said. She knew that it was about time that Tinylegs was given an apprentice, she had no doubts that he wouldn't train Cherrypaw well. With that, she leaped off of the Tallbranch to end the apprentice ceremony.

Cherrypaw looked around, her blind eyes searrching for her father quietly as she took a few tumbling syeps away from theTallbranch.

Tinylegs was overjoyed that he was appointed as a mentor to his daughter and made his way over to the she-cat, touching noses with her. "I can't wait to start training with you!" he meowed happily. Besides, what could be better than a midget mentor and a blind apprentice?
