It's A Sad But Happy Moment [[Open Birth Topic]]

Willowbreeze hadn't been able to do much for forever it seemed and she was getting restless. She felt useless just laying around the nursery all day, but her belly was so swollen she couldn't really do anything without the risk of hurting her kits. And Muddyfangs.. she though sadly to herself. It seemed so long ago that she had found his body in fourtrees and a day didn't go by that she didn't think about him. She missed him so much and it broke her heart to think about how he wouldn't even know about them, or get to see how they've grown at gatherings. She shook her head slightly to clear her thoughts. Enough with the sad stuff Willowbreeze. Think happy thoughts. she told herself. All of a sudden a huge wave of pain went through her and she hissed through her teeth in pain. She knew what that meant and she knew what to do. She had done this before so she didn't want to bother Cloudpaw when she could handle it. She groaned as another wave went through her and she grabbed a stick. She bit down as wave after wave of pain lanced through her before she pushed and a brown and black tabby tom with a white chest was born. She purred and licked him to warm him up before picking him up and placing him near her belly. He had her fluffy fur and Muddyfangs brown colors. That made her happy that he had something from him. "Fracturedkit.. You have your fathers colors. You won't get to meet him.. but he was a good cat and I know he loves you so much.. even from up in StarClan." she whispered to him, purring warmly. She knew he probably wouldn't be able to understand her but it didn't matter.

There was a slight brightness visible through the small kits closed eyelids, and a sudden rush of cold air. Fracturedkit whined and weakly pawed at the crisp air, but quieted down as he was licked. He hadn't a clue what was going on, but felt safe. He mewled as he was then picked up and moved to his mothers belly. Her words were merely slurs through his delicate ears as he curled up against her warmth.

Willowbreeze purred softly as her kit snuggled up to her before hissing in pain again as pain lanced through her again. She pushed again and cream tom with with brown points came out. The spitting image of Muddyfang. She purred licking the kit gently, "Creamkit.." she murmured quietly to him before picking him up and putting him with his brother. She curled her tail tightly around them both to keep them warm and safe.

As a sudden rush of cold air hit him, Creamkit let out a quick startled squeal in a slight bit of discomfort. He could see and feel the new light of the sun hitting his closed eyes. Continuously mewing, the newborn kit waved his paws around and squirmed to push himself towards the warmest thing he could find. The kit slowly silenced his mewling as his mother licked him and moved him, squirming slightly more as he felt a second small shape beside him. But slowly he quieted down with the warmth of his mother and sibling.
