A Blazing Morning (Closed for Bloom)

Morningshine padded out of the warriors den with a wide smile on her face. The day was warm and the sun shone down on the ThunderClan camp. She loved the sun, she loved the warmth as well. She wondered where Stormstrike was...probably out on some patrol or taking a walk with Dapplecloud. She shrugged, and continued on. The she-cat settled herself in a shady spot that was on the outskirts of camp, near the fresh-kill pile. It was her favorite spot to be in. She lay down, resting her head on her paws, and glancing around at the camp and the cats milling around in it.

A ginger tabby tom was soon to follow Morningshine out of the warrior's den. He yawned and stretched in the sunlight, tired from late night patrols last night. Suddenly, Blazingleap's stomach growled, so he made his way toward the fresh kill pile. The new warrior plucked a thrush off the top of the pile and spotted Morningshine, a fellow clan mate, sitting all alone near by. He carried the bird to her and sat down, a smile on his muzzle. "Hello, Morningshine," he purred in greeting. "What are you up to today?"

Morningshine lifted her head from her paws, looking up at Blazingleap since she had been laying down.
"Hi!" She greeted, cheerfully. The young warrior averted her blue gaze to look at the bird that Blazingleap had carried over, before answering his question, "Well, I haven't been assigned to any patrols today...so, I'm not really up to anything right now..." Morningshine said, her long and fluffy tail flicking behind her.

Blazingleap followed the she-cat's gaze to his fresh kill. "Same here. I was in the dusk patrol and a hunting patrol late last night, so I was given the morning off today. Want some?" He asked, nudging the thrush toward Morningshine.

She smiled at the ginger tabby, "Thanks, Blazingleap." She took a small bite out of the thrush that had been nudged towards her. This would be her first meal of the day and she had barely eaten much last night, so she had to try and stop herself from gorging down the entire bird in one famished bite.

Blazingleap nodded and took a few bites from his half, chewing "You can have the rest," he purred as he noticed how hungry the she-cat was. Blazingleap was pretty full anyway, so he didn't need anymore of the thrush.

Morningshine didn't ask again, she then began eating at the rest of the thrush, "Thanks." She said, after swallowing the rest of her share. She rose to her paws, shaking some dirt off of her fur.
"Want to go out for a hunt? I know you've been given the morning off, so if you don't want to, that's fine." The she-cat asked.

The tom smiled at Morningshine. "No, a hunt would be great! It's almost leaf fall, so we need as much prey as we can get," Blazingheart purred with a twinkle in his amber eyes. Of course he was exhausted, but he needed to put the clan first before himself, and plus he needed some friends, anyway, and Morningshine was a perfect candidate.

Morningshine nodded, keeping a bright smile on her muzzle, "Cool! Let's go, then." She said, purring cheerfully. She started off towards the camp exit. She turned her head to look at the kits that were play-fighting by the nursery, and she smiled at them as she continued to pad towards the exit.

Blazingleap nodded and took the lead, his long strides making him fast and swift. He seemed to glide through the underbrush with the gracefulness of a deer. "Do you know any good hunting spots?" The ginger tom asked with a purr. He knew some great ones himself, but he wanted to let Morningshine decide.
