A Blazing petal >closed<

Peonypaw was sitting outside the apprentice den when she was hit with an idea. If she wanted to get her confidence up, the best way to go about it would be a fun spar. She got to her paws and padded into the den, looking for amberpaw. "Amberpaw.... I challenge you to a spar!" she mewed meakly at the orange tom.

At his friend's request, Amberpaw's orange eyes shined with determination. "Oh, you want to fight me, do ya?" That old playful nature from his kithood briefly resurfaced and he lashed his fluffy tail. "Challenge accepted. Come on, let's fight in the forest. I'm not sure Mottlestar would appreciate us making a racket in camp." The large amber tabby stood and lead his friend out of camp. He stopped in a small nearby clearing and lined himself up across from the calico she-cat. The tom crouched down, strong muscles hidden under his long fur. He waited there, allowing Peonypaw the advantage of striking first.

Peonypaw followed after amberpaw and then also got in a fighting stance. Suddenly without warning peonypaw attack with her paw, claws sheather of course, smacking the side of amberpaw's head.

Amberpaw took the she-cat's blow almost gracefully. It seemed to un-phase him has he immediately bounded past Peonypaw and grabbed her tail in his maw. He yanked hard on it, but withholding some strength, of course. He didn't want to hurt her too much, just stun her a bit. She was smaller and, therefore, quicker than Amberpaw. He wanted some time to land a good blow.

Peonypaw yelped in surprise as her tail was pulled. She couldnt even attack cause it messed up her balance. She playfully glared at amberpaw knowing that he would soon get it.

Aha! I got her now. With a sheathed paw, the tom struck Peonypaw in the head. Then, he crouched down, trying to anticipate her next move.

Amberpaw was ready for Peonypaw's move. As she barreled toward him, the tom gracefully leapt out of the way, turned, and countered the she-cat's attack with one of his own.

Peonypaw squealed and then stoppdd fighting. "I give up! You win." she mewed trying to catch her breath. All of the fighting made her tired and hungry, and she could already tell she was losing. 

Amberpaw grinned. "As you wish, Peonypaw." He nuzzled her flank, then added. "That's what happens when you challenge me to a spar." A glimmer of playfulness lit in his gaze. "Come on, let's head back to camp."
