Smokekit and Coldkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!" the RiverClan leader yowled.

Smokekit bounced out of the nursery, exited. He had done his best to groom his fur, but he was pretty sure it was still ruffled, thanks to some intense happiness back in nursery. Ah, it was finally time! He could at last become an apprentice. He purred in pleasure and took a place in the back of the gathering cats, now feeling a little insecure, but determined.

"Smokekit, Coldkit, please step forward," the she-cat said.

Smokekit shuffled exited towards his leader, his eyes searching for his step-mother, Oakcloud, through the cats.

Tawnystorm sat and watched the ceremony unfold before her, the first apprentices made after StarClan's return. She smiled as she watched the excited soon-to-be-apprentices.

ooc: Alright, Coldkit didn't end up showing up (that's why I was waiting), so I'm just continuing.

"You have now reached the age of six moons," Fishstar meowed, watching the little kit step forward, "and are ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth until you receive your warrior name, you shall be known as Smokepaw. Your mentor shall be Nightsong. May his knowledge and skills pass on to you."

Excitement ran through the kits veins as her leader called her for her ceremony. Smokepaw was given his new name, and cold kit knew she was about to get her's.

And then Fishstar's attention turned to Coldkit. "And until you recieve your warrior name, you shall now be known as Coldpaw. You mentor will be Honeyblossom. I'm sure she will pass all of her knowledge onto you."
