Silverkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"All cats of WindClan, gather under the Tall Rock for a clan meeting!" Saltpelt called out from her place on the Tall Rock, her small paws fitted loosely into the well-worn grooves in the weathered rock.

Silverkit padded forth, her beautiful green eyes shining with pride. Her silver fur blazed like lightning in the bright sun, and her paws moved carefully. The shadow of Saltpelt cast across Silverkit, who was quite excited. Silverkit's face lit up, thinking that this was quite the important moment for her. However, she was nearly always excited over ceremonies like this.

"Silverkit, step forward." Saltpelt stated, looking down with a little fondness at the small silver kit.

Silverkit stepped forwards, eyes gleaming and a smile, from ear-to-ear, donned on her face. Her tail waved with glee, and despite her kit-like personality, Silverkit's new, glistening silver pelt had already grown in. Silverkit seemed more than happy. Her quiet demeanour was replaced with a jolly glance towards the current WindClan leader.

"Silverkit, you have reached the age of six moons and are ready to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Silverpaw. Your mentor will be Spiderfur." Saltpelt finished the ceremony with a diligent nod of her head towards the WindClan warrior before hopping off the rock for the kit to be greeted as an apprentice. Her job was done. Hopefully the pair would work well together.

Silverpaw touched noses with her new mentor, the she-cat looking excited as she sat down, happily mewing.
