Tallpaw's Border Patrol

"Of course, Tallpaw." She meowed, her eyes fixed on the border ahead.

"Thanks Darkshadow." The apprentice said with a little prr in her tone. "Hey is that the border"

She slowed her pace down as she approached the River, cautiously pacing back and forth across the edge of the borderline, sniffing wildly for any traces of RiverClan scent.

The apprentice looked around and noticed how beutiful it was to her. She walked up to the river and looked into the water. wow the water is so cool and clear. "Hey Aurastorm how do you scent out other cats?"

"Well, you remember the scent of your fellow ThunderClan cats, right? So from a distance, if you focus and follow the breeze and wind, you're able to pick up that scent. If you want to detect other Clan cats, well, it might be easier for you to acquaint yourself with them at our next Gathering," he explained with a smile.

She nodded to Aurastorm, sniffing at a nearby bush with her tail lashing. "That's right. . ." she mewed, pausing to lick her fur.

"Wow thats so cool!" She kept staring in the water.

"Are you able to detect the camp from here?" he asked his apprentice.

"It's realy hard to smell it bu,t yes. I can tell cause the camp smells like everyone who lives in it!" She said with her head in the air smelling the big green forest.

"Excellent! And as time passes, you'll become acquainted enough to be able to tell the difference between an enemy and an ally in the heat of battle."
