Anyone up for a patrol?

Fawnpaw nodded as Nettletail explained and demonstrated what to do. She padded over to the tree and dug a shallow hole like Nettletail did, dropped the squirrel, and covered it up and trotted back to the group. Her ears perked as she heard Sunpaws question. She wasn't quite sure what she believed when it came to StarClan and the Dark Forest. She heard different things about both sides and she never knew what was true and what wasn't. So she was interested as to what she would say.

Moonpaw nodded with a smile before resuming her search. It didn’t took her too long to find a sparrow perched on a bush’s branch near to the ground, eating what she guessed were small insects.

Being as careful and silent as possible, Moonpaw approached the bird, trying to keep the wind in her favor and stay hidden to avoid being detected. The silver tabby apprentice leaped towards the bird when she was only one or two tail lengths from it, catching it between her jaws and killing it quickly. She had to admit that she pushed her luck by getting so close to the bird before trying to catch it, but she wanted to see how close she could get to it before being detected, an experiment that if had went wrong maybe would’ve come to the cost of arriving to the camp with empty paws.

Following Nettletail’s example she started to dig a hole near the bush, wanting to use it as a reference point to avoid forgetting where she had buried the sparrow when they returned to the spot later, but right after she placed the bird in it she heard the conversation between Sunpaw and Nettletail, raising her head and looking at them, wanting to listen to the warrior’s response.

She had decided to side with the Dark Forest since Crowstar and Antdrop had revealed their allegiances, but she hadn’t been able to force that voice in the back of her head that told her that her choice was terribly wrong to shut up at once. Maybe listening to another cat’s opinion on what was going on around them would help?
