Vixenkit's apprentice Ceremony

Crowstar jumped onto the tall Branch and called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!"

Out of the nursery came Vixenkit, and she sat beside the entrance, curiosity obvious in her eyes.

"Today we are gathered to make a kit into an apprentice. Vixenkit step forward please." The leader said.

Vixenkit blinked, eyes wide. She had known that this was going to happen for about two days now, but the thought of being an apprentice and having to stand up in front of all of these cats startled her. She slowly padded forwards.

Antdrop sat among the crowd of cats, wondering who this kit's mentor was going to be. Maybe me? He wondered in silence. It's about time I got an apprentice. Although he was a fairly newly appointed warrior, he still felt like he should've already had an apprentice.

Jayflight quickly padded out of the warriors den, he was late, yes but that didn't embarrass him. He settled down next to Antdrop, this was an apprentice ceremony.

Crowstar looked down at the kit. "Vixenkit, from this moment on until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Vixenpaw. Your mentor will be Antdrop. I look forward to seeing your hard work." With that the leader jumped down and ended the ceremony.

"Vixenpaw! Vixenpaw!" Jayflight chanted.

Vixenpaw blinked, a smile growing on her face. She trotted down to Antdrop, staying silent, and touched her nose to his.

"I can't wait to start training with you." Antdrop meowed proudly, touching his new apprentice's noise. "I promise to teach you everything that I've learned."

Vixenpaw smiled, "I can't wait to start training too..." She said quietly to him.
