The Sun and the Clover Meet Again [cloes for Blaze and Cloverpool]

Sunpelt had just returned to ThunderClan camp. He wasn't used to sleeping with his Clanmates yet, and because he wasn't sure of what his Clanmates thought of him so far, he had taken to finding a sleeping spot under a large root of a tree a few acres away from ThunderClan camp. He had found some comfy moss to use as bedding. That will have to do... he thought, staring regretfully down at his makeshift bed. He longed dearly for the scents of his Clanmates and the feel of their warm fur and the protection of the warriors den.... But he had to slowly regain his solid presence in the Clan before he could have that.

What he was mostly worried about was nightmares. Nightmares of being banished from the Clan and becoming a longer. Nightmares of Cloverpool hating him from "abandoning" her. Nightmares of Cloverpool fighting him, arguing with him, in anger. Nightmares of Cloverpool ignoring him for the rest of his life. Nightmares of StarClan turning their back on him. Nightmares of Cloverpool openly showing her undying love for her other mate, whom Sunpelt had begun to dislike out of jealousy. Nightmares of Sunpelt never again being a part of ThunderClan, never again having the heart of his Clanmates, never again being loved... Never again being a part of StarClan or Cloverpool or life or love.... And to him, all four of those were the same thing...

And as he settled down to sleep, his thoughts of StarClan, Cloverpool, life, and love swirled through his mind, jerking him awake every time he drifted of....

ooc; Cloverpool can come to him at midnight or something. your choice if she's angry or not.

OOC: So this would be near the abandoned barn then, because TC was driven out of their territory, but ok

IC: Cloverpool was taking a midnight walk, something she and Sunpelt used to do before when they were apprentices and still mates. Sunpelt.. What was she going to do? She still loved Sunpelt but she also loved Frozenflame.. Oh if only Sunpelt had never vanished because of those stupid Twolegs, several times. The warrior was getting way to old for this kinda thing, and she'd retire when Frozenflame did, so that they could spend their lives together in peace and not having to fight unless they absolutely had to. But Frozenflame wouldn't, couldn't retire just yet he was the deputy of Thunderclan, he had a duty to fulfill. The she cat spotted Sunpelt and flicked her tail, accidentally hitting a bush. The bush rustled and she hoped she hadn't woken up Sunpelt.

Sunpelt lifted his head in alarm. What was that? His ears swiveled forward, alert and stiff. His whiskers were pointing straight out, and his tail was waving slowly. But then a familiar smell hit his scent glands. Cloverpool... He loved Cloverpool more than anything. She was his stronghold, his life, his only thing that kept him going..... But she didn't love him anymore. Her new mate was Frozenflame.

"How's Frozenflame?" he asked rather bitterly and out-of-the-blue. He couldn't really understand why he had said it at all. It was random. But he was dying to know what Cloverpool thought of him now, and his natural instincts of anger mixed with jealousy had driven him to ask that question.

Sunpelt hadn't looked at Cloverpool since he returned to ThunderClan camp - he was afraid of seeing what her eyes would hold - guilt, anger, remorse, regret.... First of all, guilt shouldn't be in her eyes, because she shouldn't've given Sunpelt up that easily and mated with Frozenflame. Second of all, anger shouldn't be there because it wasn't Sunpelt's fault that he had been taken by Twolegs and therefore been unable to be there for Cloverpool. Thirdly, remorse shouldn't be there because Cloverpool should have to feel bad for anything - even though she does, because she had given up Sunpelt. Fourthly, regret shouldn't be there because Cloverpool shouldn't have to be regretting anything - except for the fact that she is regretting something because she had given up Sunpelt.

Most of Sunpelt's guesses at what Cloverpool would be openly feeling were tied around her giving him up. So he was angry, and sort of at Cloverpool. She shouldn't've given me up.... I've always been there for her, and she just decides that she can give me up, forget about me, move on.... I've always been there for her... What a nice way to repay me. And without meaning to, he let out a snort of disgust.

Cloverpool blinked. "Frozenflame is good.. He's the deputy now. How are you?" Her warm amber eyes held emptiness, she guarded herself from showing any emotion, because she didn't want to set Sunpelt off. The tortoiseshell she cat padded a few steps closer and sat down daintily curling her tail around her paws. "It's to cold out here, why aren't you sleeping in the barn with the others?" The warrior meowed flicking her ear.
