April's Gathering 2016

Featherpaw huddled in the shadows at the back of the clearing, her green eyes glinting dull in the light. "Not even going to mention Thunderclan's...misfortune, are they?" she whispered to herself. Typical. Once she would have been ecstatic to be able to make friends in other clans, but after what had happened... She couldn't trust anyone now.

Dunepaw grew agiated. He'd been an appretince to long.


Barkpaw stared at Thrushstar


Flashpaw felt a surge of pride at his leader's words.


Winterpaw was watching all the cats,not paying attention to Clan news.

Mintpaw and Silverpaw quietly listened to their leaders from where they were sitting, the two nervous she-cats taking comfort in the other for the gathering, even though it was likely that the next time they met, they would be enemies.

Falconpaw watched quietly, seated next to Kestrelstorm.

Jatflight heard the ShadowClan leader speak, he heard his voice give out on the rest of what he was saying but didn't really care much for it.

OOC: Congratulations! This is now the biggest gathering ever on WCC! (Pops champagne)

IC: Snakepaw slightly widened his eyes as his leader mentioned 2 rogues. They had no business on ShadowClan territory. If that last one came back, what a mistake that would be!

Nobody else did anything.

OOC: 


Ferretpaw winced. She knew the rogue her leader spoke of. Her ears rang with the sound of her kithood mistake. She refused to let it leave her mind peacefully, try as she may. She looked from Darkstar to Fishstar to Crowstar. Why hadn't anyone said anything yet? Wasn't this important information? Shouldn't they make peace and return the territory to ThunderClan?

Grizzly's three other cats just kinda goofed off and waited for someone to start fighting.

Nettlepaw winced in his spot, he really didn't like the tension that was going on 'Is this what every gatheing is like?' he thought

So, Spottedstar was dead. Fishstar couldn't say she was sorry for ThunderClan's loss. She wouldn't mourn or honour the death of a she-cat who had brought nothing but chaos and ill-will to RiverClan. Her eyes flickered briefly over to Darkstar as Thrushstar and Crowstar made their speeches. Hopefully this cat would make a better leader than her fox-hearted predecessor had been.

Fishstar stepped up next, glancing briefly at Thrushstar. "Thank you, by the way,  for informing us of your rogue problem. We'll have to keep an extra eye or two out for them, and will drive them out of the forest if need be." Returning her attention to the crown before her, she began her monthly speech. She would have to keep it as standard as she possibly could.. She certainly did not want the Gathering to turn into a bloodbath, as it had nearly become several times in the past. "RiverClan has continued to fare well since the last Gathering. We've been gifted with a bundle of healthy new kits, some ready and willing apprentices, and have welcomed some talented young cats into the ranks of the warriors." She paused for a moment, thinking over her words carefully, and then continued in a regulated, moderate tone, "And as of a few sunrises ago, Crowstar and I have claimed ThunderClan's territory for our own. It is now our's by right of conquest. ThunderClan cats will not be permitted to enter their old territory anymore, lest they wish to be driven out." With that, she retreated back to her spot on the rock and sat.

Ravenpaw, whom had been watching silently from the Skyclan crowd, sniffed at Fishstar's mention of their victory. Served ThunderClan right.

Lilypaw nodded excitedly. More territory is fine by me!

Goosepaw didn't like the looks ThunderClan cats were sending towards his clan. He awkwardly shuffled his feet and stared down at his paws. This won't end well...

Scorchpaw's fur bristled in fury as he sent silent death threats to the weaker-looking Riverclan apprentices. "Little fox-hearted fish-faced squirrel-headed..." he muttered.

Ferretpaw felt a pang of sadness for the ThunderClan cats. It wasn't fair! How would ShadowClan fair without our territory? At least it isn't leafbare.

Nettlepaw looked at the riverclan and windclan cats 'At least i'm not them he thought to himself, he knew thunderclan would not stand for this.

Frozenflame felt a growl rise up in his throat, and he did nothing to stop it from quietly rumbling out of his mouth. The amber eyes of the tom lifted up to Fishstar, narrowing into slits. He could feel the anger building up inside of him, but he clamped his teeth together to hold it back. Frozenflame hardly ever let his anger get the best of him, and he wasn't going to let this gathering be an exception. The deputy turned his gaze to Darkstar to see her reaction.

Silverstone couldn't help but snicker at the Shadowclan leader's inability to talk well. His voice cracked with every word and sounded rough and painful. She watched as the other leaders spoke, until it got to Fishstar, who mentioned taking over Thunderclan's territory. Silverstone let out a yowl of celebration and smiled wildly.

Emberleaf frowned at Fishstar's announcement. Was this really what the clans had become? A....a competition for conquest? These weren't kingdoms taking over kingdoms, it was five clans surviving the harshness of the elements and minding each other's business.

Darkpaw smiled at his leader's announcement of taking over Thunderclan's territory.

Maizepaw frowned at what Fishstar said. Wasn't Thunderclan an ally of Windclan? The cream-pink tom looked at the rock of leaders to see what would happen.

Darkstar didn't like how being a leader meant adopting someone else's personality, harsh, stoic, and sometimes downright rude. As she took in the faces of those around her, anger from her own clan, confusion in others, and glee from Riverclan and Skyclan, something ticked her off. Sometimes, she thought, clan cats focused far too much on the present. The tomorrows ahead brought danger for them, prosperity and respect for her clan. "I'm sure that when the novelty wears off and your warriors are faced with the slightest danger, you'll leave, won't you?" She shot Fishstar a grin that was almost too wide, eyes almost too close to closing. Too fake. She said nothing to Crowstar. He did not brag about it. Besides, they weren't long-time enemies with Skyclan. It was the fish-faces that had the audacity to throw them out, thinking they wouldn't retaliate tenfold when the time was right. They could have their fun for the time being.

Dreamleaf mentally faced-pawed-- the only way to describe how utterly depressed this had just become.
"Fishstar just had to say something, didn't he. Now the gathering is most likely going to overturn and end up in a disaster... again!" Dreamleaf muttered. Why must this happen? Why couldn't the clans live in peace together, in harmony?

Bluesong stared at Fishstar with loathing and anger in her old blue eyes. How dare that fish-face brag about that here! Bluesong lowered her head to keep back the urge of yowling.

Wildfang blinked in confusion. He knew Riverclan had taken over Sunningrocks, but no one had told him they literally took over Thunderclan's WHOLE territory. The Shadowclan warrior glanced at Thunderclan's Gathering Group and couldn't help but feel sympathy and pity for them.

Flashpaw looked at Maizpaw then at the leaders. Were they trying to start a riot?

The RiverClan leader didn't even look over at Darkstar. She sniffed, half out of amusement and half out of annoyance. Well, it seemed this cat would be just as irritating as Spottedstar had, trying to start petty arguments at a Gathering. She'd noticed all of the ThunderClan cats hissing 'bragging' around the clearing. How ironic that ThunderClan should say that after the way Duskfall and Spottedstar had glorified their own victory in the past at a Gathering. Fishstar didn't feel as if she'd been flaunting her victory. It was kind of important to notify the rest of the Clans of a border change, was it not? In a cool, controlled tone, Fishstar responded to the younger leader, "Danger? What danger, you? Sorry, but I'm not afraid of a Clan who fled from their territory before the battle had even ended. Bad odds or not, a coward is a coward. With you out of the equation, what else is there to fear? You've lived there long enough, so whatever you've had to face, we can face. I apologize if you're sore over the fact I am mentioning the battle, but I had to inform the other Clans that our territory has expanded. Now if you're done spewing needless drama, then let WindClan speak."
