up and ready [Open]

Eaglefeather sat at the entrance, she was looking if some cats would be open for a patrol. Especially the cats that needed to. Her gaze looked around hoping for a cat to appear "Anyone up for a patrol!" she yowled her yowl echoed through the forest.

As much as she hated waking up, the half-asleep Tigerpaw knew that her father, who took over Redwhisker's work, would be cross with her if she slept in. She stretched, rubbed at her forehead with a small paw, and exited the apprentices den. "I'll go with you, if you don't mind." Tigerpaw didn't know Eaglefeather too well, just that they were roughly the same age and that the new warrior and her brother Webtail liked to hang around together. The small she-cat hoped that Leopardfang wouldn't jump in, and sighed with relief when she glanced around and saw that he wasn't in camp.

Eaglefeather nodded "Fine with me, you don't seem to cause much trouble like the other apprentices" she mewed a bit of amusement in her voice "We can start now if that's ok" she mewed.

"Sure. No time like the present." She had gotten better at not being so snappy when she was tired, and instead just agreed with whatever was suggested. She wasn't in the mood for too many other cats, anyway. Tigerpaw hurried to groom down a few stray hairs on her chest before standing up to go.

Eaglefeather stood up "Were going to patrol the borders, along with hunting" she walked into the forest heading for the borders. She looked for prey along thee way soon spotting a mouse, she stalked the prey and made her way forward as she crouched. Jumping up and pouncing on the mouse, she bit its neck and dropped it down "I assume you know how to hunt"

If that was a joke, Tigerpaw didn't find it funny. "Yes, I do. I'm not very good at it though." She meowed. The sound of a bird fluttering down to the ground from a tree caught her attention, and she stalked carefully through the grass and marsh before finding it on the roots. She gripped it by the wings just as it took off and nipped its neck, killing it. Tigerpaw buried it where she caught it and returned to Eaglefeather, aware that Thrushstar's new rules kept cats from being out alone.

Eaglefeather was surprised "Well its good that you know how to, a little" she buried her catch "Lets head for the borders, when we come back to camp we can get out fresh-kill" with that she went on walking "It nice that its finally new-leaf" she mewed "I know there isn't much flowers and grass here but there are leafs" Eaglefeather looked at the trees as they passed.


When they arrived at the borders she stopped "If you don't know border patrols I can explain it but by the name you can probably guess" she walked on the part of the border "If you can may you rub your scent on the trees, I'll be doing the same" she began to rub against trees.

"Yes, the cold snow always seeped into my short pelt." Tigerpaw meowed, conversing to pass the time. "I expect the flowers will come later, when the weather is warmer. Then there will be even more prey coming out to eat the seeds and shoots." Familiar with the border patrol drill, she left her scent along the border and clawed a few tree trunks for good measure. Her eyes wandered across the border, reminded of a certain tom that she wished she could be spending time with.

Eaglefeather walked on the border looking for any patrol coming, she scented the air smelling only some other cats but they were stale. She would hope to not run into a clans patrol, there was only her and a apprentice. She continued to look for prey and rub her scent along the borders territory "I'll be happy to see the flowers and season come, it'll help" she was kind of lying at the end about it helping. There are still dangers out there. 


When Eaglefeather finished she looked at Tigerpaw, she seemed to know a lot already. She deserved to be a warrior of ShadowClan "Are you ready to hea-" Eaglefeather had been cut off seeing a squirrel, she eyed it . Unsheathing her claws she put her paw down, trapping it from escaping. She used her other claw to kill it, putting it in her mouth she restarted her sentence "Are you ready to head back?" she asked opening her mouth to pick up the squirrel.

She also was hoping that there would be no patrols to run into. She'd been in a scrap with rogues before, but clan cats were different. Tigerpaw watched the other she-cat bring down the squirrel, mildly impressed. "Yes, Eaglefeather. I'm ready if you are." She said and then left to retrieve her bird, a white dove. Tigerpaw padded back to the warrior, the dove still in her mouth, and waited for her to lead the way back to camp. The apprentice was always a follower and not a leader.

Eaglefeather nodded, she trotted back to camp picking up the mouse she had hunted earlier. When they reached camp she sat down and quickly groomed herself, she dropped her fresh-kill in the pile and padded back over to Tigerpaw "That was a short patrol" she remarked. She flicked her tail to the pile of fresh-kill "you can go drop your kill there" she mewed.

"It was." Tigerpaw agreed after setting her prey down in the pile with the rest. She didn't mind short patrols. They were enough to get the blood pumping, but they didn't take up too much energy or time. She decided to spend the rest of the night resting in the shadows somewhere and dipped her head respectfully to Eaglefeather before padding away.

Eaglefeather dipped her head back and padded off to the pile of kill to get some kill to feed her.
