Ripplepaw sat just outside camp, gazing into the river. She seemed distracted, staring at something no one else could see. What was she doing? That was a good question. She was uncharacteristically quiet and calm. Her usual loud, annoying self had seemed to vanish with the death of Clearkit. Ripplepaw simply couldn't find the will to be happy again.
