Coming Home [SkC]

The camp looked like it had been poorly managed during their absence. He glanced around at the dens high up on the ledges, which seemed like they hadn't been slept in for moons. There were tattered pieces of moss across the middle of the clearing, spread out in patches across the earth, perhaps where the WindClan had slept in their own time. He had heard that the moor cats had preferred to sleep out under the stars. He supposed that didn't change no matter where they were.

Breezestar took in a deep breath. Twice. Twice they'd lost their home, once with Silentstar and now again with him. He tried to tell himself that StarClan surely had their reasons for this, and that there was some sort of plan... He just wish he could see it. Instead, hints of doubt were creeping into his mind. But rather than think on it, he turned around to his clanmates. There were bigger things to worry about now. "Everyone get settled in," he called. "Once the camp is back in order, we can send out patrols to mark the borders and bring home prey."

Mapledrop padded after Breezestar and nodded. She went to fix up the leaders den for Breezestar.

Elkpaw padded into the Skyclan camp. It was familiar as if he was here in a far off distant dream. He knew that he had been here before, but that was when he was just a kit. He sat down intently and listened to Breezestar's instructions and nodded. "I'll clear out some of the moss in clearing." he replied as he stood up and walked over to a patch of moss. As soon as he picked it up with his jaws, he could smell Windclan's scent drenched in it. He crinkled his nose slightly, kept working until he had a small pile of moss at the edge of the clearing.

Close behind, Pinepaw took a moment to take in their camp. He had lived here for most of his kithood. The feeling of being back brought a sense of releif to the chocoalte tabby, no more muddy, wet Riverclan territory, only rough ground that always felt firm beneath his paws. Clearing his mind, the older apprentice set to work, kicking out the useless, flat, Windclan-stinking nests and searching around for moss. Although he could only find enough for one nest, he put it in the slightly dilapidated nursery. Soon he had a strand of bramble in his mouth and was closing up a hole that had opened at the ceiling.

Treepaw stepped into the clearing, she was born in Riverclan and had never seen this area before but it filled her with pride and joy to find the land she should be in. "I will go see if I can find some prey now if you would like." She said eagerly to he leader.

Crowflight followed his leader inside the camp. They were finally home. The home he left as an apprentice, and he was coming back as a deputy. He stood behind his leader unsure of where to start. Should he start organizing patrols? Well Breezestar said they would check borders later.. The gray deputy looked down at the apprentice that offered to get some prey when Breezestar had just said they would get some later. "How about you, and other apprentices go get some fresh moss for us? We have plenty of dens to fill." He suggested.

The deputy looked around his home. "It's good to be home." He said to no one in particular. He glanced over to his leader. "I'll start working on the barrier with a few other warriors." With that the black deputy left his leader's side, and went off somewhere else.

Pebblepaw padded in, eyes widening. She hadn't even been born when Skyclan was kicked out... At least she thought so, anyway. Her brown and white fur shined in the sunlight, eyes bright with curiosity and wonder. "Yes, Crowflight!" She mewed to him, and scampered off to find moss with the others. Her paws felt like... They were meant to run here. She missed Mintpaw already, her best friend, who stayed in Riverclan since... Well, he lived there. The she-cat thought about the place she had called home in Riverclan... This place felt better, though. She soon stumbled upon some moss growing, and stripped a bit off...

Snowstorm and Oceanpaw followed. They both nodded. Snowstorm took a deep breath to taste the air. Still some WindClan scent, but it will go away sooner or later. She followed Crowflight to help him with the barrier. Thin sheets of moss were here and there. She started to work on scraping them off.

Oceanpaw worked on the medicine cat den. She scraped the moss on the outside. She then began to brush the dust and dirt inside.

For both of them, it was good to be home.

"Sounds good, anyone who would like to come and come!" Treepaw called as she headed out of the territory ready to do some hunting in an all new land. The trees where huge and tall and Treepaw could climb up the smaller ones with branches with ease, 'I guess they didn't call me Treepaw for nothing!'She chuckled to herself.

Elkpaw heard Treepaw's announcement and padded over to her. "I'll join" he replied as he followed her into the old territory.

Hawkkit had come to join Skyclan, as his father was Skyclan "Why is camp so awful?!" Hawkkit complained, grouchy from the journey to Skyclan
