Sedgepaw's Warrior Ceremony

Crowflight stood at the top of the meeting area and called out to his clan. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a clan meeting!"

Sedgepaw appeared among the group of gathering cats. He camouflaged amid them, his black fur blending in among the crowd. Hopefully, this was his time. Moons of training would finally pay off. With dead eyes, he sat down, waiting for the meeting to begin.

"It's time, we've welcome new warrior amongst our ranks. Sedgepaw please come forward." He paused, waiting for them to do so before going on, gazing up at the stars. "I, Crowflight, deputy of SkyClan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has learned the ways of your noble code and I commend him to you now."

"Sedgepaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Sedgepaw obediently stepped forward, staring at his paws before raising his gaze to look at his deputy. "I do," he mewed, his whiskers fanning with anticipation.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Sedgepaw, from this day forth, you shall be known as Sedgeclaw. Skyclan honors your determination and loyalty." The deputy said before jumping off the meeting place to congratulate the new warrior.
