Breezepaw sat out in the middle of windclan camp. There was nothing for the Black apprentice to do. Her siblings weren't around at the moment, and her mother was busy napping in the elders den. Her grandfather was busy doing leader stuff, and there weren't any patrols for her to join at the moment. So what was she to do? Just sit here and absorb the heat that was rare on cold days? Meh that was boring.. but there was no other option.

Rowancloud trudged from the entrance of the camp, a mouse dangling from his jaws. He haphazardly tossed it into the pile. Another day of a failed hunting patrol... but at least he caught something. He glanced up, spotting an apprentice- Breezepaw. Why was she just sitting there? There was much to do around the camp, surely? While the warrior was out doing his duties, here the apprentice was just soaking in the sunlight. "Why don't you clean the Elders' Den if you have nothing to do?" came his hostile remark. The stocky tomcat approached the she-cat, eyes narrowed. "What's the point in having you appointed as an apprentice if you're as much use as a dead fox?" This was rather out of character for Rowancloud. He didn't know himself why he was so distasteful today.

Blue eyes looked up at the warrior, giving him a slight ice cold glare. "I already took care of that." She said with some hostility. She already did that this morning. She sat up from her spot. "And I would try to do something useful but I can't leave camp without a warrior." She kept the slight edge in her voice. It wasn't her fault that her mentor hadn't done anything with her yet. She didn't like how this warrior was treating her, even if he was a warrior.

Icestorm woke up from his lovely patch of grass from some cats bickering. He gave a yawn and stood up to see his former apprentice and Breezepaw. "What might you two be up to?" The older tom said giving a suspicious glance to Rowancloud then to the apprentice. Wonder what's biting at Rowancloud's pelt today... Icestorm noticed he was a bit on the grumpy side.

Rowancloud's eyes narrowed, his tail lashing. He could sense aggression lacing the apprentice's voice. "You were assigned a mentor for a reason," he grumbled, batting his tail against the ground, bringing up a bit of dust. His ear careened to the sound of Icestorm, his former mentor. He nodded vaguely to him, his eyes still narrowed. "Just seeing how the apprentices are being trained, but I can see that isn't the case."

Breezepaw looked over to the older warrior greeting him with a nod. Her tail tip thumped against the ground in her state of unease. She had done what should could around camp, but there wasn't much she could do in ways training. She was thankful that the older, and more relaxed warrior had shown up. If not the two might have gotten into a scrap. "It isn't my fault that my mentor is being lazy.." She muttered softly.

Icestorm gave his usual, understanding smile. "Well Rowancloud, maybe instead of scolding apprentices, you could help them with their training?" The tom understood that is wasn't Rowancloud's job, but helping out once in a while could be nice. He then turned his head towards the apprentice. "And instead of sulking around feeling sorry for yourself, ask around and see if any mentors wouldn't mind training you." He talked in a stern voice to both the cats, making sure they both were taught something. "If you ever want someone to train with, I'm sure Cedarfur, Smokepelt, or I would be happy to help."
