StarClan Save Us [Leaffall/bare is Hell for TC, Final Plot]

Cloverpool nodded. "Yes Duskfall. Bluesong go over to my sister and get warm, take Blackpaw and- Oh Stormpaw! Oh my poor grandson! May Starclan watch over you Stormpaw. Alright Featherpaw I'm coming hold on!" She pushed aside her grief  to help the other cats. She waded over to Featherpaw and put her on her back and then headed back over to her sister. "Stay warm. Cucumberpaw help them get warmer and to the shore over there. Frozenflame where are you?!"

Cucumberpaw nodded and took Featherpaw onto her back. The poor small cat looked so thin it was painful. She set Featherpaw down by Darkflight and Dreampaw and started to quickly groom her fur to at least try and get warm and dry. "Don't worry you'll be fine Featherpaw." She meowed trying to soothe her frayed nerves.

"G-Good- Augh!" He exclaimed as he fell into the pond. "Ow! ...You okay? Is..." His side hurt from the pressure of falling in, and stripped Stormpaw off of Bluesong's back. The water made it extremely hard for him to move, but it made carrying Stormpaw easier. He approached dry land, everything in pain and some parts bleeding. He turned to Cloverpool. "S-Stormpaw's dead! I'm sorry, I couldn't save him..." He yowled, overwhelming everything. He started to cry a bit. Why, Starclan? Why...?

"Th-thanks, Cucumberpaw." The silver tabby mumbled, shivering still where she laid on the dirt around the pond. She tried to keep her eyes open, knowing she wasn't meant to fall asleep when she's cold, Cloudwhisker(NPC) had told her that much at least. Which suddenly had her bolting upright, was her mother and her siblings okay? "Darkflight, can you see Rainpaw and Lilacpaw? Are they okay?"

Duskfall padded up to the batter body of Stormpaw. He was so young, only moons from becoming an apprentice and he was gone. The brown tom hung his head in grief, allowing himself a second of mourning before getting back to business. He had others to rescue. Diving into the water, he dragged out the bodies of Miles and Viperfang, laying them on the dirt alongside Stormpaw. To little Blackpaw who grieved so bitterly, he meowed softly. "You did your best, Blackpaw. I'm sure Stormpaw is watching over us in StarClan and thanking you for retrieving his body." He licked the tom on the muzzle, before stalking back over to the pond to watch vigilantly for others coming through.

Cobrapaw soon came over after getting frim the water. The apprentice shook some of the water from her fur and looked around quietly. She felt her side hhurting a bit but she ignored it. For some reason the apprentice looked around as if searching for her father, Viperfang. She flicked her wet tail quietly before she looked over to Duskfall and the others.

Cloverpool rested her tail across Blackpaw's shoulders. "Blackpaw i know you did your best, don't worry nobody blames you. He can be with my daughter Minnowtail, his mother, in Starclan along with his father. I know it's hard to let a friend go, but sometimes we have to, we may not like it but it's life. Now go get dry and help any others that need help ok?" The she cat meowed giving Blackpaw a lick on the head and taking her tail off his shoulders.

Cucumberpaw smiled. "Anything to help my clan mates." The cream she cat purred blinking sludge out of her pale blue eyes. She flicked her tail and went back to tending to the half drowned cats.

At everyone's words of care and comfort, he felt a little better. Duskfall and Cloverpool's words definitely helped, but he realized not only Stormpaw was dead. Viperfang and Miles were dead, and he was shocked. Oh no...

Cobrapaw blinked overhearing about Viperfang being dead and the apprentices eyes widened. Now not only was her mother gone but now her father. Cobrapaw sat down her goldish yellow eyes filled with tears quietly.

Darkflight barely noticed that she'd been lifted out of the water, eyes and nose burning from the dirt and grime in the water. She couldn't smell anything, it was all the same, dirt, dirt, and more dirt. The sudden light blinded her momentarily, twitching her head away from it to protect her yellow eyes. She felt herself being deposited kind of on shore, long, thick fur making her appear to be a large lump of moss.

When her eyes had opened slightly they began to water in an attempt to get rid of the itching sand. "Thank you, Spottedstar," she murmured, voice weak. The warrior felt like she was about to throw up, and she did. It was mostly water, though. Dragging herself to her paws, the drenched she-cat looked over her clanmates worriedly, and waded in the rushing water carefully, investigating every large bit of debris. She looked over to Featherpaw and gave a weak smile.

"I'm looking for them, don't worry, they're probably fine." Darkflight's heart faltered at the thought of her first apprentice, Lilacpaw, dead. 'You have to be here somewhere!' She flattened her ears at the news of three cats dead and could only hope that no more would come out of their former safe haven.

Rainpaw had been enjoying a short nap, relishing in his dream. He sat by the river, a large pile of fish beside him, and with each swipe of his paw, another fish was added to his pile. He didn't notice the water begin to rise, and the rain start pelting down, soaking his fur. Once he finally noticed the water level, it was too late.

The apprentice woke up, gasping for air before water rushed over his head and submerged him completely. A strong wave knocked the air out of his lungs. He pushed against the stone with his back paws, sending him up and letting him grab for air once more. He instinctively began kicking against the current. It wasn't much use as the water kept pushing him away from his destroyed nest and down the dark tunnel. His head was dunked under the water once more, and the tom felt as though he might not make it to the end alive.

When the tunnel spat him out into a large pond, he managed to resurface and suck in large breaths. His legs were sore from fighting the flooding water, and he wondered how long he could keep it up. Though his ears were clogged with water and everything sounded muffled, he heard the faint cry of his sister. Glancing back, he saw the silver she-cat, along with many others, huddled on a small piece of land. Swimming over to his clanmates, he dragged himself onto the island, spitting up water as he took a rest. "F-Featherpaw, are you alright?" Rainpaw mewed, pulling himself onto his paws and huddling closer to her for warmth.

Bluesong struggled to her paws and she began to tremble. She sputtered water from her mouth but she managed to set herself down. Her head snapped over to Blackpaw and her eyes grew teary. She bowed her head. So many cats were dying... but she could grieve later. The she-cat managed to stand and she limped over to the edge of the pond.

Blackpaw sniffled and despite everything else that was going on, knew he had to stop grieving. He got up, off the ground, and shook his pelt dry. "W-We have to make s-sure everyone else i-is okay!" l He said shakily, still very cold despite his shaggy fur. The white tom padded forward to Bluesong. "Are you okay? Y-You're limping..." The tom was so thankful for this she-cat, for she had saved his life. He was determined to help all the survivors despite his own injuries.

Bluesong looked over at Blackpaw.
"I just fell the wrong way... it's fine," Bluesong assured. She watched the water, waiting for the next cats to get tossed into the pool.

Spottedstar looked up at Darkflight, at least one saved. But where was Beanfoot? She looked around, not seeing him yet. Her son was there, carrying his apprentice.

Nightfire dragged Dreampaw to the shore of the pond, laying her down. "Are you alright"

The moment she spotted the light brown tom that was her littermate, Featherpaw purred with sheer relief that he wasn't going to be another body laying there besides their clan mates. He looked just as exhausted and waterlogged as she was, but thanks StarClan, he look fine overall. "I'm fine. What about you?" Featherpaw tried to be as convincing as possible, but she was still shaking from the shock and the cold. She wouldn't, couldn't complain when so many of their clan mates looked equally cold or battered, she was just glad her brother lived. All she waited on with abated breath now was news of her sister, Lilacpaw, she could see the worry in Darkflight's eyes as well. The waiting was awful.

Duskfall stood at the edge of the dirtbank in waiting. He watched as his son came stumbling out of the water, and joined his daughter. All that remained of his litter was little Lilacpaw, his little sweetheart. He prayed to StarClan that they'd spare her, that they wouldn't take his daughter away from him before she'd even grown up. The deputy wanted to remain watching, vigilant to help others, but his kits were freezing. He compromised by padding over to them and sitting next to them so they could lean against him for warmth. His green eyes were still locked on the pouring hollow, but his tongue rasped over their heads and limbs, trying to force warmth back into Rainpaw and Featherpaw.

Frozenflame spilled out of the tunnel and into the pool of some sorts, where his clan mates were gathering and weeping over the dead. The grey and ginger tom struggled to swim to the shallows, but managed, then he looked around and relaxed once he saw that Cloverpool was alright. He trudged over and licked her cheek. "Thank Starclan you are safe," he purred with worry in his voice. He couldn't loose another cat whom he loved. Frozenflame then coughed out some of the vile water which they had been flooded out in. "Did anyone die?" That was a stupid question. He knew that at least two cats had to of died from that living hell.

The tom's eyes landed on some motionless bodies laying next to each other that he figured was where the dead had been put. Frozenflame hesitantly padded over and choked back tears at the sight. Viperfang, his son, was dead. Along with a young apprentice and Miles, the elder. The shivering, wet warrior bowed his head in sadness. How could this've happened to us? Why did Duskfall lead us to such a dangerous place? Why did he lead us to our deaths? Frozenflame narrowed his eyes and shot a glare at the deputy. His respect for him was so great that nobody could ever put it into words, which made it so much harder for Frozenflame to be mad at him. It's not Duskfall's fault, he tried to tell himself. Duskfall didn't know this would happen. Nobody did.
