A Dangerous Patrol [Closed to certain people]

Feathertail sat on the edge of Windclan territory. She was leading a patrol to the Windclan camp. She wanted to return home, ever since she returned from her journey she hadn't been to her camp ever since. The gray senior warrior sat with her tail curled around her paws, as she waited on the clan mates she talked to, to join her. She felt confident that the dogs wouldn't be there, but at the same time there was a sense of dread. They were going to have to move carefully. Of course apprentices were going to have to stay a bit ways away from camp, in case the warriors needed help, the apprentice could go run and get it. Feathertail let out a sigh, and cleared her head. Don't get nervous now.

Kestrelpaw hung close to Feathertail, his pelt inches away from touching hers. He held his head tall, desperately trying to look proud and strong. His heart had been attached to Feathertail since the moment she came into his life. The feeling was weird, and he didn't know what it was, but he acted upon it and took every second to stay by her side, believing he could protect her from any harm. He would sneak glances at her when she wasn't looking, and he thought she was the most beautiful cat he's ever seen in his life. Kestrelpaw had lost a lot of cats in his life. His sisters. His mother. But nothing would bother him more than losing Falconstar and/or Feathertail. He would be devestated beyond belief.

Hailpaw stayed in the middle of the patrol. Her ears were rotating, listening for any strange noises. Though she knew she should be nervous, she was very excited. She thought about the dogs. Shurley they would be gone by now.

Icestorm and his son stood next to the patrol, ready to claw some dog pelts. Until the other cats who looked scared and nervous, the two grey toms were ready for a fight. Their claws were out, scraping the dirt, teeth bared, ear flat, and fur fluffed up.

Aquapaw was excited. This is the first time I will see the camp! She thought. Though she knew it would be dangerous.

Eaglethorn stood towards the front of the group, near Feathertail. The patrol was merely to check for the existence of the dogs, but he wouldn't have minded taking them on and driving them away if they were there. They didn't need to hide: he could kill them single-pawed if he wanted. He unsheathed his claws with a low, menacing hiss.

Feathertail knew the warriors and apprentices were all ready to go, but they had a few more warriors to wait on. She was eager to see her home again, and eager to get it back but they had to be patient. They would get to the camp eventually. They needed to play this safe, because if they didn't they could end up losing warriors, or apprentices.

Daisypatch rushed forward, shaking mud and water from her paws as she came up to the waiting group. Huffing a little, she padded up beside Eaglethorn. "Sorry I'm late. It's so easy to get lost in unfamiliar territory," she meowed to Feathertail. She was more than ready to take back WindClan. Even if it meant putting her life on the line.

Feathertail looked around. She guess the last apprentice wasn't coming. Oh well one less cat to keep an eye on. "Alright. Seems like everyone is here. Remember to stay close together, and warn anyone if there is danger. I want all of us to come back alive." The gray warrior said. She stood from her spot, and started heading for their camp. "Come on. Let's go."

Icestorm and Smokepelt gave a nod towards Feathertail. They followed the she cat quietly, ready for anything. I wonder why she is leading the patrol. I mean, I know she is Falconstar's daughter...But didn't she just return to the clan? Smokepelt thought to himself.
