He nudged her towards the darkness, still remaining close by her to offer her comfort in case she got spooked. But one day, she would have to walk this darkness alone, and as much as he would like it, clan rivalries did often get in the way. All he could do was train her to the best of his abilities and hope when he finally pushed her onto her own path that she didn't get lost. "Lead the way, Dawnpaw."

Dawnpaw looked at the exit before her. She could do this. She gently reminded herself that it was a simple path to follow. With a deep breath, the apprentice walked into the exit tunnel. Letting her paws guide her and feeling the edges of the tunnel to help as well. She was getting a bit nervous but she kept it down. She would see the light soon enough. Finally she saw the light of the outside in the tunnel. Relief washed over her and she pushed her way back into the light.
