Featherkit and Leafkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Fishstar leapt up and onto her perch and called, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting!"

Featherkit ran out of the nursery and sat down her pelt covered in licks

Fishstar waited until everyone had gathered and then proceeded to say, "Featherkit, Leafkit, please step forward."

Tansyfoot glanced out of the warriors' den. An apprentice ceremony! RiverClan grew stronger yet. Interested, she walked out and sat under the Willow Branch.

With a powerful wheeze, she trotted out of her den. What den she was staying in, she hadn't the slightest clue, but anywhere to avoid the nursery and sickening the kits.

Featherkit stepped forward and held her head high

Leafkit raced out of the nursery and accendentily knocked over featherkit " sorry sis im just way to excited, oh and sorry i was late fishstar"

leafkit got up and stepped forward slowly

"It's ok!" Whispered featherkit

" thanks " leafkit whispered back

Featherkit held her head high and waited for fishstar to continue

Leafkit did the same as her sister. Leafkit looked at Fishstar hoping to get a good mentor. " fetherkit i hope we get a good mentor or the same mentor or at least train together" leafkit mewd quielty to featherkit.

"We probably won't get the same mentor but we might train together." Said featherkit

ooc: So I completely forgot that these were Fish's kits up until last night.. Actually, I just forgot that Fish had kits entirely. oops. let's fix that. /shot

Fishstar barely suppressed a purr as the duo excitedly approached the willow branch. For what seemed like ages the silver she-cat had been immobilized in the nursery, feeling quite cumbersome, fidgety, and claustrophobic, but today both the RverClan leader and her kits were ready to move on with their lives. A small part of her was sad that she wouldn't be spending as much time with them as she had for the past few moons, but was glad to be returning to her regular duties, and even more so that her kits were earning their apprentice names. For so many moons, she had wondered what it was like to feel pride for one's kits, and now she finally knew. She'd been reluctant to start a family of her own, but she was happy that she had finally settled down.

"Leafkit, Featherkit, you have now reached the age of six moons, and the time has come for you to become apprentices. From this day forth, until you are ready to recieve your warrior names, you shall be known as Leafpaw and Featherpaw." It would take some time before Fishstar stopped referring to them with their 'kit names. "Leafpaw, your mentor will be Ashcloud, and Featherpaw, your mentor will be Mistfeather. I am sure they will make fine warriors out of you."

Fishstar sprang back down onto the ground and gave both of the newly-appointed apprenticed congratulatory licks on the heads. "I'm very proud of both of you. Don't give your mentors too much trouble."
