Falling into Starclan's Paws

Ripplepaw still lay near his father. His breathing was more shallow and his wounds still wouldn't stop bleeding. Soon, he would be in the paws of Starclan.

Moonlight padded in to check on his son. He's still not better? What did that tom do to him? He bent down to sniff his wounds. The stench of blood and infection hit his nose, and he pulled his head back in shock. It's only been a couple of days how could it get infected so soon?! He recalled his mother Meadow saying something about Star ships? No it was Starclan. "Don't worry son this infection if no match for the herbs."  He murmured not his ear to calm him down. He grabbed a whole bunch of Marigold, and some wild garlic. He broke open the garlic and chewed it into a leaf pulp and put it on a crisp dry brown leaf. He then chewed the Marigold into a pulp and mixed it with the garlic, adding a few crushed up poppy seeds for the pain. He took off Ripplepaws old cobwebs and applied the pulp onto the wounds, then added fresh cobwebs.

Ripplepaw groaned.
"It hurts," he moaned. Ripplepaw curled into a feeble ball of fur.

"Don't worry my son you'll be fine, I hope because the wounds are infected." Moonlight meowed pitying his son, for he feared the worst.

Ripplepaw shivered. He had to make it! But, it was tempting to,.. his thoughts stopped as his wounds numbed. Everything began to blur together. Then an explosion of pain hit him. Ripplepaw let out an agonized yowl. His breathing quickened. His eyes wide with fear. He could even swear he could see silvery pelts standing behind Moonlight.
"Father," Ripplepaw coughed," Tell... Salmonstripe... and Slushpaw... a-and Whitefoot... I'm sorry," Ripplepaw choked out the words. Fear crushed him. His heart thundered like a storm.
"Tell them I l-love them," Ripplepaw choked," and I-I love you too."
Ripplepaw felt a soft breeze drift over him. A small sense of comfort broke him away from the pain in his body. He felt so bad for this. It could've been his fault. His eyes began to
glaze over. Death began to sink into his fur, beginning to freeze. The young brown tom let out a cry of grief as everything washed over him. Anger, fear, guilt, sadness, and most of all, comfort. The pain died away from his awful wounds as Starclan attempted to retrieve his spirit. It was his time he guessed. His time had come to join his ancestors in the heavenly forests and rivers. It was time to leave this land. He forced a smile to roll over his face before his last breathe came. He smiles at his father for the last time, and his last thought was that he was glad to be able to know his father. Then he inhales once more, feeling the cold air burn his lungs.
Then he was still.
The breeze Ruffled his mattes brown fur. His body warmth faded to nothing, then to cold that matches the night air. A single tear has escaped before he died. Soon he opened his eyes. The young tom looked down to only see him parting from his body.
That lifeless body was him.
So feeble, so weak... so frail and fragile.
He saw Mooonlight as well and water swelled in his starry eyes. Before his anscentors guided him up to Starclan, the tom padded lightly over to Moonlight and pressed his muzzle against his fathers fur. Then he whispered.
"Thank you."
And soon, the little apprentice was being lead to Starclan, where dreams awaited.

Moonlight wailed with grief. "Why Starclan!!" He hissed and pressed his nose into his son body until the warmth faded from his body.
