A Golden heart

Goldepaw slunk out of the apprentice's den. Her eyes were puffy and swollen with sleep. She staggered out of the den with weak legs. She had slept horribly during the night.

Smokepelt was lying on the cold morning ground, his legs folded under him. He actually enjoyed the frosty mornings. He tried to fall back asleep, but had no luck. Smokepelt heard someone stir and opened an eye to see an apprentice, Goldenpaw stumble out of the apprentice area. He beckoned her over with his dark grey tail, one eye still shut.

Goldenpaw slunk over to Smokepelt quietly. She dipped her head respectfully and sat down, grooming her fluffy golden fur.
"Good morning, Smokepelt," She mewed.

"Good morning." The handsome grey tom gave a soft smile. "You look like something a fox dragged in." he chuckled. "Rough night? Here. Want to lay with me?" Smokepelt motioned for her to lay next to him.


ooc-btw, remember there is no apprentice "den" ;D

OOC: Oh!! I forgot!

IC: Goldenpaw nodded and laid down next to Smokepelt. She admired the tom greatly. He was indeed handsome and strong. He was an amazing warrior too.
"I guess so," she murmured," but ya... rough night. Someone kept kicking me every heartbeat."
Goldepaw turned her golden eyes to Smokepelt.
"How was your night?"

"Aww, that stinks." he purred. "That's kind of why I never sleep near the other cats. My night? eh, pretty boring." he chuckled.


ooc-sorry for ooc but just to let ya know: atm, Smokepelt in feeling conflicted because he doesn't know which apprentice to get close to/love. Ivorypaw, Silverpaw, Goldenpaw. XD

OOC: ohhh ok and thats fine xD

IC: Goldenpaw blinked at him.
"I sleep with them for company. But maybe there would be more peace if I slept away from them," she chuckled lightly.

"It's up to you, I mean, I don't think we will be running out of space any time soon." Smokepelt smiled at the apprentice and shifted so he was laying on his side; making their fur touch. He loved how peaceful life was at the moment. Smokepelt soon felt a bit awkward and tried to start a conversation. "So how is your training going?" He asked Goldenpaw.

Goldenpaw felt his fur brush hers then she relaxed.
"It's going well. Lightfoot is pushing me hard to be honest," Goldenpaw replied. She let her tense muscles relax then and began to fell much more at ease.

"Well don't give up. I know Lightfoot because him an my father have been friends since they were apprentices." he took a moment in thought then said "His daughters are just as determined." He sighed somewhat sadly, thinking about Ivorypaw.

"Ya.." Goldenpaw nodded," Lightfoot is a great mentor though. He is doing a great job and wants me to learn everything I can."
Goldenpaw gave her chest fur a couple of proud licks.

"That's always good." he purred. "Say, um... your a she cat... he started, suddenly feeling nervous. "What does it take to get a she cat to like you? I mean what do they like? Cause I feel like I never can get close to her, however hard I try." he sputtered out.

Goldenpaw looked over at Smokepelt.
"Depends on who you're talking about," Goldenpaw mewed," and it depends on how you want to get close to them?"

"Oh never mind. I might as well just give up." Smokepelt sighed and rested his head on his paws.

Goldenpaw looked at Smokepelt sadly.
"Trying to impress a she-cat? It's hard to be honest," she mewed reassuringly," and whoever she is, I bet she's trying too."
Goldenpaw wrapped her tail around her paws.
