Cloverpaw and Sunpelt need some catching up to do [CLOSED for Cloverpool]

OOC: It's in Sunningrocks, lol! There is no gorse wall!
IC: Sunpelt spotted Cloverpaw near the apprentices den and bounded over to her. He purred loudly, and briefly twined his tail with hers. He had to stop himself from tackling her and licking her all over. "Cloverpaw! I've missed you so much! I haven't talked to you in forever!" he purred. "Want to go hunting?"

Sunpelt felt hurt at the surprise in Cloverpaw's voice. Did she not like him anymore, and did she think he didn't like her? He hung his head and muttered, "It's just an idea. You know, we haven't been together for a while."

Sunpelt purred, "I've been well. But not nearly as well as when I used to be in the forest. Because I miss the camp, and I miss.... I miss hanging out with you." He looked anxiously into her eyes. "It's different now that I'm a warrior, and I think it'd be easier when you're a warrior too. But we can do all we can, and that's hanging out together. So let's go!" He bounded out of camp, looking over his shoulder to see if Cloverpaw was keeping up.

Sunpelt heard Cloverpaw's mew, and sighed with relief to himself. He promised himself that he'll tell her the same thing too when they were in the forest.

He led her to Tallpines, and sniffed the air. Squirrel! Recently this particular piece of prey had been hard to find in the burned-out forest, and Sunpelt would be glad to catch one for his Clan.

He flicked his tail across Cloverpaw's mouth to warn her to keep quiet, while he scented the air again to pinpoint the mouse. Sunpelt smelled the faintest trace of mouse. He could tell it was very fresh, but at the same time he couldn't smell it that well. So that meant that the wind was blowing toward the mouse.

Creeping quietly in a half-circle so that the wind was blowing toward him, he crouched down behind the mouse. Now it wouldn't be able to sense him. He dropped into the hunters' crouch and pulled himself forward. When he was about a fox-length from the squirrel, he pounced, landing squarely on its back. He nipped it on the back, turning the squirrel to fresh-kill.

Sunpelt picked it up triumphantly, showing it to Cloverpaw. It was big and plump, sure to feed all the elders. He carried it over to a large pine, and shoved it underneath a large root where no predators would be able to find it. He scraped some earth over it for good measure, and then headed back to Cloverpaw.

"Your turn," he whispered in her ear.

Sunpelt purred with pride as he saw Cloverpaw's great catch. "Nice one!" He padded over to a soft patch of moss, using his tail to invite Cloverpaw to sit by him. "So, Cloverpaw, thinking of when you're going to have kits?" he asked quietly, his tail twitching nervously and embarrassedly.

Sunpelt nodded. "Yes, I agree." He sighed, realizing that they would have to wait a while. But then he brightened up and offered a joke. "Tell your mentor to train you hard, and you'll be a warrior in no time!" Sunpelt felt a thrill of excitement at the prospect of kits.
