Things least Expected (closed to the kits being played,and the medicine cat,also Greenleaf)

A white kit with black,gray and ginger on her was the kit close to Gorsefeather ' s paws. She mewled loudly before starting to crawl to her mother's belly.

Meadowfall watched the kits smiling some before giving them a gentle Lick on their tiny heads.

Ashkit mewled a protest to being licked on her head she thought it was kind of nice though

Gorsefeather quickly licked the rest clean, warming them all up before returning them to their mother. He place them one by one onto her belly. He noticed most of them weren't appreciating being huddled with him. Wanting their mother.

He took the stick away, and instead gave Meadowfall some borage to help her produce milk as it was her first litter.

While he let them have a moment, he was worried about the cold and exposure. These kits need somewhere warm to rest, and next to the Thunderpath wasn't the place. He had no clue how to get them back to camp though. They were too young to endure such a journey back without a problem.

Ashkit was by far the biggest kit in the litter and when she had enough she crawled over to the cat she thought was her father but it was really her uncle and she snuggled up against him and fell asleep.

Meadowfall looked to her brother quietly before she curled up just slightly around her kits.She smiled some at her kit purring very softly before she looked to her brother sensing his worry"Gorsefeather...I...I'm sorry about coming all the way out here " She mewed quietly before she chewed and swallowed the borage.Meadowfall then looked at the gray speckled kit as it crawled to her brother and she smiled some.

The white,black,gray,and ginger kit suckle quietly before staying curled up close to Meadowfall.

Greenleaf smelled something off as he approached the Thunderpath. Panic filling him, he realized his mate was giving birth! "Meadowfall!" he mewed, still on his side of the pavement. He rushed forward, nearly there, when a monster barreled into him. Letting out a pained and terrified wail, he felt a dizzying and black darkness heading toward him. "No, no, just let me see my mate and kits!" he whimpered, fighting to stay alive. As he struggled to keep her in his blurred sight, he noticed the kits being born being born. "I'm sorry..." he whispered weakly with a slight smile on his face, before it all went black.

Ashkit smelled a sharp sour odor but what she didn't know was that it was her father being hit by a monster. She mewled and turned burying her face in her uncles tail trying to get rid of the stench of blood but it was still there!

Meadowfall heard her mate and turned her head to see him coming . She watched the monster hit him and her eyes widened as she wailed in greif. She wanted to get up and get him but she was afraid to leave their kits.

The multicolored kit smelt the blood and gave a high pitched mewl as the she kit moved closer to her mother.

The small grey-brown kit mewled. She was unable to comprehend what had happened, but she could sense the distress of the cats around her. She tried to move closer to her mother.

Meadowfall had to look away from her mate's body,which laid on the Thunderpath. She felt a tear roll down into her cheek fur followed by more before she looked to her brother,Gorsefeather."i...Is there a way to get the kits back to camp?"She mewed.

Ashkit mewled and started to crawl towards her mother to suckle.

Meadowfall waited for a long moment for Gorsefeather ' s reply but when she didn't get one she gently picked up the gray speckled she kit and the grey brown she cat after she stood on her paws. She hoped Gorsefeather would pick up the other two kits before she started to pad back to camp.

Gorsefeather remained silent as the events unfolded in quick succession. The tom, he assumed to be his sister's mate had died, leaving the kits fatherless so soon after they were born. He looked over at them with pity, but personally felt a little glad at the knowledge that these kits would never have a reason to know about their parentage now.

"Are you sure you can walk?" He asked, leaning down to pick up the two kits in his jaws.

The small she-kit squirmed in protest at being lifted into the air. She let out a meow then, seeing she wasn't going to be let down, reluctantly allowed herself to be carried.

"Yes.... I'm sure"Meadowfall mewed quietly as she started to pad to camp.

The multicolored kit mewled at being picked up before instinctively curling her body some when she was picked up.
