Wolfpaw's Warrior Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey gather underneath Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!" Thrushstar yowled.

Wolfpaw came out of the apprentice den with speed as she knew what this meeting was about. It was time for her to become a warrior, as little Wolfpaw wasn't so little anymore. She approached Jaggedrock and sat beneath it facing Thrushstar.

Looking around, Thrushstar continued with his words. "Tonight, we gather to make this apprentice a warrior," he said as he looked down at Wolfpaw. "Wolfpaw, please step forward."

Wolfpaw stepped forward, approaching her leader to receive her name.

"Wolfpaw, do you promise to serve and protect this clan, as well as uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life?" The leader asked, looking sternly at the apprentice. She seemed excited enough. He hoped that she wouldn't turn out like the others... Like Darkstrike. He knew that this Wolfpaw wasn't clan born, but he couldn't turn her away. Forgetting that now, he just wanted to finish the ceremony.

"Yes, Thrushstar." Wolfpaw spoke solemnly, her gaze unwavering as she looked her leader in the eye. She wanted to be a fine warrior for her clan, and viewed herself as a Shadowclan cat, not the rogue she was born as.

Nodding his head in approval, he finished. "Then from this day on, you shall be known as Wolfpool. We welcome you as a full warrior of Shadowclan." With that, he leaped off of the rock and let the clan finish the ceremony.

Wolfpool turned to face her clan, joyful to be a full warrior.
