Not Dead Yet (Open)

"Hey fluffbrain!"

"Yeah, you! Get your tail over here!"

"What're you looking at, ya' piece of dung?"

A voice was shouting over the roar of the Gorge. It wavered, followed by indecipherable mumblings. On closer inspection, one could see a tall, lanky cat standing at the Windclan side of the Gorge. The cat was standing aggressively, staring into the trees on the the other side with blank brown eyes. Small patches of skin could be seen through this cat's dirt-brown fur, and the black stripe that would usually follow his spine appeared to simply be linear spots, pink scars flashing through. He continued to hiss obscenities, apparently directed towards an invisible cat.

Deernose was not in his right mind. This chronic disease he had was making a comeback, stronger, and with another effect: gradual descent into insanity. Earlier that year he had managed to pass other symptoms off as greencough. However, when he realized what was beginning to happen to his mind, the senior warrior left, unsure what his socially unbound mind would do in time. Yes, he did not know that his mind would deteriorate so swiftly. Scratches of consciousness seeped through, taking in what he was doing.

"Who am I yelling to?" he thought, before it was swept away by the chaos that was his brain, much like the river mere tail-lengths away would to unsuspecting victims.

Without his knowledge, a cat was approaching the area. His voice was beginning to break, growing hoarse. Soon, he'd have to find another way to vent out his jumbled thoughts, a way that might not be so peaceful.
