Smokekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Falconstar bounded to the top of the Tallrock and called out, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting!"

Smokekit bounded out almost as soon as he spoke. He was nine moons now, after all. He sat to the side, so he could make a grand entrance.

Falconstar smiled as Smokekit bounded over before continuing. "Smokekit, you've reached the age where it's time for you to become an apprentice. From now until you become a warrior, your name will be Smokepaw. Sablefur will be your mentor."

"Thank you, Falconstar!" Smokepaw said and went to search for his mentor.

Sablefur dipped her head before touching noses with Smokepaw. "Congratulations," she purred to her new apprentice.

"Smokepaw! Smokepaw! Smokepaw!" Nettlepaw called out the loudest, excited that her recently reunited brother was finally an apprentice along with her. She couldn't wait to go hunting with him.

Smokepaw touched noses with his mentor before joining his sister. He smiled. "I'm glad to be back."

"And I'm glad to have you back." She purred, nuzzling him. Together they could take on the world, with her brother, there was nothing she couldn't do.
