Silence Follows

Sleetpaw was looking for herbs in this place for who knows why, when she stepped on a twig and alerted the rats in the area. The rats swarmed out of theirs holes, and other places and proceeded to attack the apprentice. She attempted to fight back but the rats were overwhelming, and eventually the apprentice died from the swarming rats. Eventually the rats left the body alone, it bloody, and scratched up.

Now for the not half done part:
Sleetpaw lost her footing to the rats as they continued to swarm, scratch and bite the apprentice. There was to many to fight off, and there was nothing she could do. Sleetpaw continued to take the pain, and be as still a possibly hoping the the rats would assume she was dead, and leave her alone. She had so much to live for. But for what seemed like hours the apprentice sat laying on the ground letting the rats bite, and scratch. Eventually the apprentice grew tired, and let the darkness take her for she felt very tired. For she knew she wouldn't wake up.
