The Cloud Disperses

Cloudheart decided today was a good day to get out of the nursery and stretch her legs, boy was she wrong. She walked along the border wanting to stretch her legs as long as possible before having to return to her nest in the nursery. The queen loved being around skyclan, and her mate was leader! But she was growing old despite her white fur not showing it. She knew in a couple of moons she would retire to the elders den, but she still had a bit.

The fluffy white she-cat sat down next to one of the pines on the Skyclan side of the border looking at nothing in particular, one of her ears twitched when she heard leaves being shuffled behind her, but she ignored it thinking it was a bird or something.

A dark hued she-cat silently stalked Cloudheart with an evil grin plastered to her fang-filled maw. Her green orbs were alight with desire to sink her claws and teeth into the flesh of her Clanmate, instantly ending her life. Hollyshade had been planning the white queen's death for a while now, and had practiced every move she would make on clumps of moss she would gather.

When her target stopped and sat beside a pine tree on the outskirts of SkyClan territory, the grin on the warrior's face grew and her lips parted to reveal sharp white fangs. Knowing this was her chance, Hollyshade stepped out of the hazel bush she was crouching in, causing the leaves to rustle, and lashed her tail in excitement. "Greetings, Cloudheart. It's a fine day today, for leaf bare. Perfect to go on a stroll, stretch your legs, admire the territory...what could go wrong?" She paused to chuckle and pad forwards to the queen's side. "Well, my dear, you made a big mistake; coming out here alone." The female bombay whipped around and struck out a paw to unbalance Cloudheart before swiftly leaping onto of the she-cat, pinning her down with her sharpened claws sinking into her skin. Oh how I am going to enjoy this. "I killed Jayflight, and now I am going to kill you." Hollyshade whispered into her helpless targets ear, before flipping Cloudheart over and swiping her already blood-stained claws down the exposed belly flesh, parting the tissue and allowing her vital organs to spill onto the terrain. She then stepped back to admire her work and let out a cackle, her foliage green eyes glowing with enjoyment as she noticed how Cloudheart's soft white fur was now clotted with a sticky scarlet liquid. "Goodbye, Cloudheart." Hollyshade chuckled and turned around to depart into the hazel bush, and leave the queen for dead.
