Swankit and Cloudkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Silverstorm clambered up a smooth granite boulder that jutted out of the earth like a spear and swept his gaze over the camp. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a Clan meeting!" he yowled.

The white she-kit groggily got out of her nest in the nursery, drowsy and ready to fall asleep again, despite the fact that the deputy had called a meeting for the clan. Muttering a few words and a yawn softly coming from her, Swankit padded out, swaying side to side ever so often and taking a seat by the boulder, blinking her eyes a few moments or so to attempt to stay awake, fur unkempt and untidy. Licking her paw and doing the best she could to tame her fur, her ears were alert, just in case.

Cloudkit left the leaf that he was chasing to blow away in the wind and raced to where everyone was gathered. It was finally time!  He thought to himself as he was finally going to become an apprentice.

"Swankit, Cloudkit," Silverstorm began. "You have both reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Swanpaw and Cloudpaw. Your mentors will be Breezetail and Feathertail. I hope they will pass down all they know on to you."

Cloudpaw happily touched noses with his mentor.
