Swankit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the willow branch for a Clan meeting," Ivyfall called out from her place on the willow tree, her green eyes swept of the clearing, watching her clan pour out.

Swankit stepped out of the nursery, and sat down to watch. Maybe someone was going to be a warrior, and she could watch them to see how she was supposed to act?

"Swankit, please step forward." She meowed.

Swankit stepped forward as instructed, trying to hide her surprise.

Flowerpetal purred proudly from the audience that had gathered, nudging Swankit's brothers towards the front of the crowd so they could watch the Ceremony.

"Swankit, you have reached the age of six moons, and are now ready to be apprenticed. From this day forth, you shall be known as Swanpaw. As for your mentor, I name Snailbelly. He has shown himself to be a patient cat, and I know he will guide you through what it means to be a warrior with this same patience. May you both learn from each other and grow." The silver tabby finished, looking over at the tom and beckoning him to touch noses with the newly named apprentice.

Snailbelly jolted to attention, only just now realizing that he was now a mentor. He stood up from where he was sitting and went to touch noses with his new apprentice. An apprentice... Oh, StarClan, how could he ever be ready!
