Winterkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Falconstar jumped to the top of the Tallrock and yowled to his clan, "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Tallrock for a clan meeting!" That call seemed pretty anachronistic. Everybody gathered around at the leader's call, regardless if they could catch their own prey. Kits did it; elders did too. Maybe he should change it.

Cloverbreeze did as Falconstar called for and went to Tallrock.

A furry white she-cat tumbled from the nursery. Blinking she quickly scrambled to her paws and shook her pelt rapidly. Grooming herself in a matter of seconds, once she was all nice and clean Winterkit raced towards tallrock her head high.

Scarletkit rushed to the clearing where FalconStar was getting ready to do his announcement. She sat away from the others and patiently waited for her leader to speak.

"Winterkit, from now on you will be known as Winterpaw. Cloverbreeze will be your mentor."

Heatherpaw padded up to Winterkit and smiled. "Congratulations, Winterpaw!" she purred.

Cloverbreeze was a bit surprised at the fact she was going to be Winterpaw's mentor, but excited nonetheless. She dipped her head to Falconstar and walked towards her new apprentice.
