The words Coalheart spoke seemd normal, until the last four. Minnowflash's heart rose into his throat and he smiled, looking back at her. He leaned closer to whisper into her ear "Meet me here tomorrow night." Minnowflash quickly but softly brushed his tail down her back and leapt from the rock, disappearing into the bushes.

Coalheart nodded and grinned. She remembered there were other cats here, and cast a quick look at Shallowpaw. He was staring at her like she'd gotten run over by a monster and started walking again.

Shallowpaw gaped at Coalheart, then started laughing. "You got a date! With a cat from a different Clan!" By now, the tabby was rolling around on the rock, gasping for breath while laughing. The warrior beside him hissed. "Shut it, fish-face!" All of a sudden, his ears stung. She'd cuffed his ears. That only made him laugh harder. Soon, he heard the cat get up and walk away. Tears stung his eyes from laughing too much, and he couldn't see. When he tried to get up, he fell off of the rock. "Ow.." the apprentice muttered. He heard faint laughing, and knew it was Coalheart.
