Yellowpaw and Otterpaw's Warrior Ceremony

The old willow branch creaked and swayed under his weight, but it felt familiar under his paws after so long. It was funny how things worked. Once he could hardly stand without feeling like he was about to get thrown off. "All cats old enough to swim, gather to hear my words!" Reedstar called out, voice ringing around camp. Two apprentices, and both had fought hard and valiantly during the battle against ThunderClan. His own grandson had taken multiple cats himself before being brought down, which was more than he could say. He couldn't help but feel a surge of pride, but he kept it hidden behind a neutral, grizzled mask. Reedstar, remember. Reedheart is dead.

With a fire of excitement in his belly, Otterpaw stepped out into the crowd, knowing full well what the purpose of this meeting was for. He glanced around, finding Yellowpaw and seeing if he could sit beside her, so he wouldn't have to step forward alone. His short, sleek pelt was neatly groomed for the occasion and his green eyes glowing in anticipation.

Ooc: grandson? Before being brought down? Which grandson are we talking about here? 

Ic:Midnightsky sat by the edge of the camp, looking at the two young apprentices. "More warriors... That's good, so why do I feel so... Useless?" He asked himself.

Reedstar didn't waste any more time. "I, Reedstar, leader of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Otterpaw, Yellowpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Otterpaw nodded, his eyes glinting in the dim daylight. "I do."

Yellowpaw nodded."I do."

OOC: Do you have a warrior name in mind for Yellowpaw, or do you want me to choose?

OOC: Bump.

StarClan honors your compassion and your tenacity, and we welcome you both as full warriors of RiverClan."
