Hazelkit and Raggedykit's Apprentice Ceremony

More grandkits of his were becoming apprentices... well, not grandkits in actuality. There was doubt nagging at him from the back of his mind, but he pushed it away. "All cats old enough to swim gather to hear my words!"

Midnightsky padded up to the clearing, and looked up to Reedstar. "Hmmm more apprentices... I don't think we have enough mentors for this..."

ooc:Stream is ready for her ceremony, (over-due, really) but is it okay to wait until Otter and Ice's ceremony? Because I've kind of made it seem like they're the same age.


ic: Amberheart padded under the rock, she was excited, but she agreed with Midnightsky. Streamkit bounced up beside her, her eyes shone with envy. "Awww, I want to be an apprentice!" she whined. "Shush! This is a clan meeting!" Amberheart mewed, flicking the kit's ear with her tail.

OOC: Yeah, I'll group you guys together when the time comes.

*lays out Shade/Grey bait*

Raggedykit padded up next to Streamkit. "I can't wait to become an apprentice!" he said to the other kit.

"Maybe its your ceremony Raggedykit, I mean you are the right age." He said, grooming the tiny kit

Hazelkit padded into the clearing, looking up at the leader, leaning in towards Raggedykit she mewed "I hope Reedstar is going to be my mentor!"

"Hazelkit, clean yourself up. You are going to stand next to the leader of the clan." He said and then started licking Hazelkit's fur.

As Reedstar called out, Sunfur moved to look in that direction from the fresh-kill pile with his golden ears perked up. Then he yawned and padded over, his paw pads lightly tapping the earth. Once closer he sat down, looked up at his leader with a greeting nod before looking around at the cats that had gathered.

OOC:

...I can't remember who is mentoring who...

IC: "Hazelkit, Raggedykit," Reedstar mewed. "You have both reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior names, you will be known as Hazelpaw and Raggedypaw. Raggedypaw, your mentor will be Cinderfur. Hazelpaw, I will mentor you. I hope we will pass down all we know on to you." With that, he leaped down from the sagging willow bough and touched noses with his new apprentice. "We start training at dawn. Get some rest."

Hazelkit let out a squeak of protest before bounding towards her leader and mentor, excitement overwhelming her. Hazelkit eagerly touched noses with Reedstar, nodding in acknowledgement she stuck her tongue out teasingly at Raggedykit.
