Friendship Lasts Forever (Part 2)

Graypaw sat down, he waited for the ant to disappear. He didn't really know why she was so interested in that ant

"Aren't they fascinating?" Lightpaw asked. She looked at him, wondering if maybe she was making him feel bored.

"Huh? Oh, yeah they are." he said. This wasn't exactly what he was thinking would happen.

Lightpaw went over and nudged him with her head. "You could at least pretend to be interested." she said quietly, a little hurt.

"Okay Lightpaw, I'll try." Most of this day had been about him, and I can't even pretend to be interested? "What do you want to do?" he asked.

Lightpaw looked around. "I'm not sure. Camp was so much nore exciting when I was a kit..." she said.

She was right, the camp was boring. Back when they were kits they had so much to explore, but now they had nothing left to explore. The moth won't work now, she's too old.

Lightpaw sighed and layed down.

"Lightpaw, am I bothering you?" he asked. He honestly felt like he was.

Lightpaw looked shocked. "What?! No!" she said.

"Are you sure? I can leave if you want." he said looking away.

Lightpaw looked shocked and hurt. "Well if that's what you want than fine." she said. She got up and turned away from him, hurt.

"No!" he said quickly. "I'd rather stay here with you...I just thought that you didn't want me here right now." He started to feel bad. Now she wants me to leave.

Lightpaw looked at him. "Why wouldn't I? You're my best friend." she purred softly before nudging him with her head.

Graypaw let out a sigh of relief and licked her cheek. "I just thought I was depressing you or something." he said.
