Bramblepaw's warrior ceremony

Spottedfeather scaled the Highrock, ready for another ceremony. Dewstar's busyness had made her in charge of the ceremonies, which she didn't mind. It was a high priority, to make the clan grow with new warriors, just like today. She called the clan together and waited.

Bramblepaw left the apprentice den and padded over to Highrock. He sat in front of it and waited for the deputy to continue.

Tawnywing left the warriors den and padded over. She sat a bit of a distance away, thinking about Rookheart. Rookheart would have loved to see Bramblepaw become a warrior. Tawnywing wondered if that's what this was.

Spottedfeather continued on "Bramblepaw, please step forward" once the she-cat stepped forward, she continued "I, Spottedfeather, deputy and substitute for Dewstar of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has worked hard to understand the ways of your noble code and I comend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Bramblepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Bramblepaw stepped forward and when Spottedfeather finished he answered in a clear voice. "I do." he said.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your warrior name. From this day forward, you shall be known as Bramblestripe. StarClan honors your patience and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan." Spottedfeather hopped down from Highrock and rested her muzzle on the new warriors head.

Bramblestripe smiled proudly as Tawnywing yowled the new warrior's name.
