Moonkit, Redkit, and Nightkits' Apprentice Ceremony

Mapleheart continued to sit by her brother, Redshade. She looked at the kits and wondered who the mentors would be

Nodding as the kits stepped into line, the leader started the ceremony. "Moonkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Moonpaw. Your mentor will be Soulfang. I hope Soulfang will pass down all he knows on to you."

Gaze moving to the next to-be apprentice, Nightstar continued. "Nightkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Nightpaw. Your mentor will be Cloudbillow. I hope Cloudbillow will pass down all he knows on to you."

Nightstar jumped down, letting the clan greet the newest apprentices.

Moonpaw stood proud. She looked around for Soulfang happily. Her friend would now be her mentor! She said a quick congratulations to Nightpaw and then continued to.look around.

Moonpaw excitedly touched noses with her new mentor. "Wonderful! Exciting! Fantastic! When will we start training? When can I leave camp?" Moonpaw rambled.

Nightpaw touched noses with his new mentor. "I hope that I do well while you are training me," he said.

Redshade looked away. He had hoped that he would get an apprentice before Soulfang since he was in fact older than the white tom, but whatever. He tried not to be too envious. There was plenty of kits, and he was bound to get one eventually. No use in getting mad at his best friend. Flexing his claws, Redshade got to his paws and left the meeting, but not before passing Soulfang and Moonpaw. "Congratulations." He purred, then silently slunk out of camp.
