Swiftpaw's Patrol

Beewhisker waited just outside camp, his fur fluffed up against the cold (which made him look about the size of a normal warrior), swishing his tail in impatience. He'd given Swiftpaw a few moments to rest after the ceremony before calling him away to do a border run. Though, now it seemed like a bad idea, with the cold setting in; ice could be anywhere, and he didn't want the apprentice to slip.I'll just make sure I'm always between him and the river.

Swiftpaw zoomed out of the Apprentices' den and towards Beewhisker. "I'm here," he called. "This is so awesome!" he exclaimed excitedly, before looking down at the ice. "But I'll have to be careful where I run," he said. "I'm too young to die." He looked up at his mentor. "Are we going to explore the whole territory today, or just parts of it?"

Beewhisker blinked a few times, trying to mentally calm Swiftpaw down. Why were they always so excited? He thought for a moment. "I'll show you the river and maybe Sunningrocks today, along with some of the inner territory, but we're going to steer clear of the gorge, so don't ask." That should be good, enough to satisfy him until tomorrow. "Let's get a move on," and with that, Beewhisker trotted off towards the edge of the river.
