Snowpaw's Assessment!

"Snowpaw!" Thrushstripe called into the apprentice's den. It was just at dusk when he had called for the young apprentice because she was going to need all of the moonlight she could get for her assessment. "Let's go!"

Snowpaw jumped up. "My assessment is today! Yay!" She hurried out to Thrustripe. "I'm ready!"

"Alright then let's get moving. You don't need to waste any time." he said a little coldly as he turned around from her and began to walk into the territory. It wasn't like him to be so distant, but things had changed inside of the deputy. After Mapleface had died, his world had just seemed to collapse, and now it was showing.

Snowpaw looked at her deputy. "You should be strong. I know your sad because of Map... Stuff that happened." Snowpaw quickly saved her accident. "But you are still the deputy and you need to focus on your clan and feeding them. Just stay positive. Everything will be okay." Snowpaw said sadly.

As they continued walking, Thrushstripe opened his mouth to say something in response to her statement, but he quickly held his tongue. This apprentice didn't understand how he was feeling about it. She couldn't know how it felt to lose someone that close to her. No matter. She had an assessment to do and that was it. After finding a spot in the middle of the territory, Thrushstripe stopped and turned around to face Snowpaw. "Alright here are the rules. You have until sunrise to catch as much prey as you possibly can. When you are done, I will see how well you have hunted and tell you if you have passed or failed. Now you may go when you are ready." He told her, now just simply waiting for her to get going.

Snowpaw nodded and ran off. She got to a more foresty area and picked up a mouse. Snowpaw crouched down and stuck her tail out straight. She slowly stalked the mouse, than when she got close enough, pounced. She killed it with a swift blow to the neck. She did it many more times, and by the end, she had caught 2 mice, 1 toad, 2 birds, and 3 gophers. She also missed, about 5 different pieces of prey

OOC:Sorry I didn't know how much time she really had and I don't know if gophers is acceptable or not.

OOC: there really aren't many gophers around the area, but there are voles, which are kinda the same thing cx but it's all good~ at least you can look at it this way: you're done :D ceremony time!

All the while she was hunting, Thrushstripe had followed her around, making sure to hide downwind as to not be spotted. As he watched, he quickly became impressed with her skills as a hunter and by the end of the day, he had actually felt somewhat decent. First time since that incident that was for sure. Stepping out of the tall grass on her last catch, Thrushstripe looked at Snowpaw and nodded in approval. "Good job, Snowpaw. You have passed your assessment. Now let's get all this prey that you caught back to camp."

"Great!" Snowpaw picked up some of the prey she got and started back to camp.
