Sandkit had been sitting by the river that outlined camp when he heard the announcement. He looked up, not moving from his spot, to see a she-cat he didn't recognize. He wasn't particularly excited; in fact, the thought of becoming an apprentice seemed to fill him with anxiety and even dread.

Amberkit heard the words and bounced up, licking her fur to try and get the random lumps of it organized. She had a pretty good idea of what would happen today.
