His Name is Turtle

It was the break of Sunhigh, the birds singing and the squirrels chirping. A warm day with clear skies, quite the relaxing weather. Turtle thought this was a good opportunity to get outside and play in his housefolk's back yard. They even had a little pond with a few, small turtles that swam around in it. The little silver kitten liked to watch them. He even rode a rather large one once across the yard...Or at least half-way across the yard. The thing was so slow he got bored and leaped off. It was fun while it lasted though. It made him feel like a king being carried by his subjects...If he knew what either of those terms meant.
Turtle was, in fact, named after the many spots along his back and tail that resembled a turtle's shell in a way, not to mention he had the odd interest of playing with the pond turtles. But it wasn't that weird, considering he was too young to climb the fence in order to explore and find some real friends. So he played with the turtles instead. Maybe today would be different though, since this seemed to be quite the day for exploring; Maybe some one would show up and say "Hi".

This so happened to be the day Zeno was looking for some food in the twoleg gardens. The rogue was to tired to go out into the forest, but didn't want the taste of twoleg garbage. Also it would be a lot of fun to make the kitty-pets angry when he attacked something that the twolegs wanted to protect. The rogue kept glancing down into the yards below seeing if any of them had food worth taking. Zeno happened to take notice of a silver kitten playing in his yard. He gave of a small laugh, laughing at the fact that the kit was trapped in there.

Turtle perked his ears, hearing a laugh above him. Looking up, he smiled gleefully as he spotted another cat. "Hi there!" He purred, as friendly as ever. Whoever this cat was, he didn't care. All the innocent kitten knew was that he had a visitor and potential friend.

"Hello there little kitten." The rogue tom responded. He liked the fact that the kit had no idea who he was or what he had done. Maybe he could teach the kit his ways, or something like that. For now the kit was to weak to know anything of the sort.

With a hop of happiness, the kit bounced over and put his paws on the side of the fence so he could talk without yelling from where he had been standing by the small pond. A kit's voice can only get so far, after all. He looked up at Zeno with big, sparkling eyes; he barely knew the tom, but Turtle already found him to be cool.
"I'm Turtle! What's your name, fence-cat?" Turtle asked, introducing himself as well.
