Midnightpaw's Warrior Ceremony

Sagestar leapt up to make an announcement, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Jagged Rock for a clan meeting!" The tom yowled, waiting for the cats to gather together before continuing. "Today we welcome a new member to our ranks. Midnightpaw, come forward."

The confusion as to what was happening showed in Midnightpaw's eyes. She carefully made her way over the Sagestar, her eyes wide as she paused in front of him, awaiting for his next comments. A fleeting thought of her becoming a warrior entered her mind, and her tail flicked in curiosity as she waited.

Sagestar nodded her head in acknowledgement to the she-cat, "I Sagestar, Leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to learn the ways of your noble code and I commend her to you in her turn." He meowed, "Midnightpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend your clan even at the cost of your life?"

Midnightpaw stood straight, her head held high as her eyes met with those of her leader's. "I do." she replied, her normally soft voice stronger than it ever had been before.
