Fawnkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Sagestar leaped up onto the Jagged Rock, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Jagged rock for a clan meeting."

Fawnkit, chasing a butterfly, skidded to a stop as she heard Sagestar. Oh, a ceremony or something! Headed as close as she could to the rock, the kit looked up as high as she could, trying to meet Sagestar's eyes. One day, Fawnkit would be Fawnstar - or so she hoped anyway. Still, that was a long day to go, right?

Shadeclaw padded out of the Warriors' den, settling down nearby to listen to the meeting. An announcement? Another ceremony? They had a lot of apprentices nowadays. He wondered if he'd get to train some one, despite only recently becoming a Warrior.

Ooc: Joined a ceremony topic for once. Woohoo.

Sagestar flicked his tail, waiting for the clan to gather together before silencing the crowd with the quick wave of his paw. "One of our kits have reached the age of six moons and its time for her to be apprenticed." Sagestar called, "Fawnkit, come forward."

Hearing Sagestar call her name, Fawnkit quickly stepped forward, nearly skidding by him clumsily. She was fairly nervous, yet truly excited to become an apprentice. After all, that's what she had been waiting for this whole time! Awaiting his next order, Fawnkit tried to calm herself down before she did something to embarrass herself in front of the whole clan.

"Until this she-cat has earned her warrior name, she will be known as Fawnpaw." Sagestar announced, "Shadeclaw, you have proven yourself to be a valuable warrior and it is you who will be her mentor. I hope you pass on to Fawnpaw all that you know."

Shadeclaw nodded, stepping up to Fawnpaw to touch noses with her. "I won't let you down." He meowed quietly.
