June Gathering 2013

Nightcloud totally moved next to Shadeclaw when she was offered; and sat by him during the whole gathering. She sighed sadly when she heard that Stormeye had gone to StarClan...She hadn't known the elder; being only a small kit when he retired but even in ShadowClan she had heard stories about him; mostly about how he fought in the battle against those rogues. It was a shame really. She glanced around the group; noting how sad a grey and white WindClan warrior was looking from his spot next to a burnt she-cat. Oh StarClan; he must of been related to Stormeye somehow.

Twistedfoot indeed looked sad; he bowed his head, leaning on Lavanderpaw due to her being next to him. His father was a great cat; but he still couldn't believe he was gone. At least he had Lavanderpaw next to him for support; and while it was true he also had Shadeheart, he was more happy to have the last remaining member of SkyClan with him. He paused; glancing up at the leaders. Only Raccoonstar knew that Lavanderpaw was SkyClan; didn't she? Why didn't she share what they at least knew about SkyClan's fate; that Silentstar had left for a reason...Did she not want WindClan to be known for taking in a lone SkyClan kit those moons ago?

Patcheye bit her pink tongue with large amounts of pressure in grief, she didn't want to hear about her fathers passing again, after all she was the first cat to find out. It hurt so much just to think about it, it felt as if she was being slowly killed in the most painful way possible. The young calico started to feel a rush of warm liquid barrel down the side of her face.

Crowpaw got up, glaring at all the leaders besides his own. He paused, glancing at Fawnpaw and dipped his head before following after his clan as Raccoonstar leaped off the rock to leave.

Lionstar hissed at Raccoonstar. "We'll only be following the Warrior code by challenging trespassers! You'll bring a war on yourself with your attitude." He snapped, leaping down off the rock. "But you're right. This gathering is over." With that, the old tom padded over to his clan and led the way out, not stopping to make sure everyone was following. Really, though it was hidden, Lionstar was becoming more aggressive due to old age, as the stress was getting to him to where it was no longer what he could handle.

Shadeclaw glanced over, about to say something when he noticed Nightcloud was busy looking at some one. Following her gaze, he spotted a distraught tom with a twisted paw. Shadeclaw didn't know the cat, but he looked more upset than anyone else at the gathering. Perhaps he had known Stormeye very well. Not wanting to stare, Shadeclaw quickly looked away.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean to hit you," the apprentice said. Shaking her head, she thought she was being so stupid. Why for StarClan's sake was she so clumsy all of a sudden? It's not like her! Well, that's what she thought. Shrugging, Fawnpaw wondered whether she should admit that it hurt quite a bit on her side or try to ignore the pain and the other apprentice. Since he asked, she should at least be a bit nice about it, no? She tried to start off strong, but had to keep stopping in the middle because of the pain, "I'm fine - my name's Fawnpaw, and I'm from ShadowClan! You seem to be from WindClan." Noticing the tom leave as Raccoonstar left, she let out a slight hiss. Whatever, don't be polite and just leave! This is ridiculous, Fawnpaw thought that she shouldn't have even tried to interact with some cat. She told herself that she'll be sitting with her own clan next time.

Mintpaw watched as the leaders - except Froststar - argued before seeing that Raccoonstar had started to leave with WindClan. She sighed, "Gatherings are going to be like this for quite awhile..." Shrugging, she knew that the territory that used to belong to SkyClan was being split up between WindClan and ShadowClan, but this was interesting. Why of all times would there be so much fighting when Gatherings are a time of peace - for the clans to gather together and share news. Giving another long sigh, she wondered what her clanmates thought of the gathering.

Feeling Twistedfoot lean on her, Lavenderpaw started to blush heavily - she hoped it wasn't noticeable to see anyway. She hadn't heard much about Stormeye, besides knowing that he was originally WindClan's leader and Twistedfoot and Patcheye's father, but she had heard from her mother a great deal about the other leaders and how they led the clans through the battles with a group of rogues called the Deomilities. Apparently, Silentstar was still an apprentice back then, and the leader admitted to her that she was the first apprentice to be knocked out. Know that she thought about it, very few of the WindClan members, let alone the other clans, knew that she was the last SkyClan cat left in the forest. What would they do if they found it? Cast her away and leave her to fend for herself? She wanted to tell every cat in the clearing that Silentstar left for a reason - not because she was weak! Seeing Raccoonstar leap off and start to lead WindClan back home, Lavenderpaw licked the tom's head gently before mewing quietly, "Let's go home now Twistedfoot..."

Twistedfoot smiled softly at Lavenderpaw as she licked his head, glancing at the she-cat. He wished that she was a warrior with him; it seemed so odd for them to be in a different den after sharing it for about a moon or two. He pulled himself to his paws, taking a deep breath as he attempted to steady his feelings. He had to remain strong; for his father...and Lavanderpaw. "Come on, Shadeheart," he whispered, nudging his denmate but he leaned gently on Lavanderpaw as he turned and padded from the clearing, glaring at any cat that dare looked at him funny. He wasn't going to let anybody think that WindClan was weak.

Nightcloud watched as the twisted-foot warrior padded from the gathering, smiling softly when she caught his gaze for a quick second as he glaring at everybody. It wasn't hard for the ShadowClan warrior to figure that the warrior had a crush on the smaller cat, seeing how he easily perked up with a simple nudge from his fellow Clan-mate. "Hehe, it is amazing what a little bit of love can do, right Shadeclaw?" She glanced at her den-mate with a large smile, gently shoving her shoulder playfully into Shadeclaw. She couldn't help but glance at Sagestar, wondering when ShadowClan was going to leave.

"Yea-oof." Shadeclaw's response was cut off as he was nudged, rather off-balance for a moment. With a chuckle, he sat up and smirked at her, mischief shimmering in his eyes. He nudged her back, harder, but not hard enough to hurt. "Heh, this kinda reminds me of when you beat me in training for some reason. That won't happen again." He huffed in amusement. "I wonder if Sagestar will say something else before we leave? I'm a little confused on why Windclan should get part of Skyclan's old territory."

Crowpaw paused, hanging back at the rear of the line. He glanced at Fawnpaw, seeing she looked a bit annoyed. Well, go ahead. I was only following my clan. He flicked his tail, following his clan out.

Shadeheart followed Twistedfoot and Lavenderpaw, feeling slightly jealous about how much they liked each other. If only I had told him, she thought, but who could love a blind, ugly burnt cat like me?
