Lavenderkit's apprentice Ceremony

Raccoonstar sat in front of her den. It was almost evening time, and the clan should have returned by then. She jumped onto the tall rock, and let out the traditional yowl, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath tall rock for a clan metting!"

Yawning, Lavenderkit came out of the nursery. It's pretty empty in there nowadays, since everyone's an apprentice. Sleepily looking up to Raccoonstar, she wondered what would be happening. A warrior ceremony? Or better yet, her apprentice ceremony. She's been wanting it since she could speak and scurry around SkyClan's camp. Though, these things made her wonder whether WindClan decided to trust her or not.

Twistedpaw pulled himself from the apprentice den, letting out a yawn. His tail flickered when he heard his mother calling for a meeting. What could it be for? It wasn't his warrior ceremony; he hadn't had his assessment yet. Interested, he made his way to the center of the camp when he caught sight of Lavenderkit. That was it! It had to be Lavenderkit's apprentice ceremony!

"Today we are gathered here to make a kit into an apprentice. Lavenderkit, would you please step forward?" The leader mewed as she looked down to the kit who had earned the leader's trust. She knew who exactly would be perfect to train her.

Looking around nervously at the eyes of her clanmates, Lavenderkit nodded to Twistedpaw - hoping he could help her later. Stepping up, the kit lifted up her nose at an angle to have her eyes facing towards Raccoonstar. Compared to the leader, she felt really short. Hopefully she'll grow up to be like the leader! Or maybe become leader...

"Lavenderkit, you have had quite an adventure as a kit. You came to Windclan, and I have decided to fully accept you into Windclan by making you an apprentice. From this moment on you will be known as Lavenderpaw, I will be your mentor." Raccoonstar jumped down from the rock, and went to touch noses with her new apprentice.

Her eyes dulled in disbelief - she was supposed to be the apprentice of WindClan's leader? An unexpected turn of events, but Lavenderpaw mewed quietly, "I won't let you down...I promise." Touching noses with her mentor, her eyes quickly brightened, wondering what her mother would've thought about this. Being accepted into a new clan fully, despite not being clan-born to WindClan, she was so surprised that she was able to earn Raccoonstar's trust - moreso, WindClan's trust. Vowing to always do her best, Lavenderpaw promised that in her heart. Whispering to herself, "May StarClan light my path..."
